As for this thread? It's total BS. To use the BGSUCKS thing, annoying. But then for somebody to rag on our campus or university? What the hell are you doing here, then? I'm as pissed as anybody about the football team right now, but beyond them, so what? I still love Bowling Green the city and the campus (although my favorite place in BG is leaving).
Reports are that there is already an hour and a half wait to get your order...

I wonder if I can schedule a Fri Am pick up...or maybe Fri/Sat at 1 am.

You can also buy a shirt... I have the Corner Grill one already.

So many great memories from being at Myles...I think this bugs me more than Tiger Stadium closing and being torn down

60-90 mins has been standard since the rumors started.

I expect 2-3 hours to be the norm this week

Not sure why anyone who chose to go to BG would knock it's campus. Seems like sour grapes. I never ate at Myle's but I feel badly for the BG community. If good memories and good thoughts could keep it open I think it would be around for eternity, given what I hear and read about the place.

Agree with most things said about the football. The ride was good for the past three years that started in 2013. Sad to see it fall apart so quickly. As for BGSU as a campus, my son made great friends on the team, student body and the public. For a kid from Hawaii to go out there and see what the midwest had to offer, it was life changing! Being welcomed to the Falcon family will stick for life! Forever Falcons!!! Just a dad's 2cents

Will make it a point to stop and see next time we make our way to NC. Mama Chief and I were able to make great friends there and will try to visit. There is a person you may see at games and is a Hawaii transplant who used to work at SBX. She is as they call her Aunty Alicia who gives the football boys ribbon and/or candy leis after the game. Great gal who shares aloha with teammates of Chief. Extend a hello and she will greet you with huge Hawaiian smile.

You're wrong, again. I went to BG for undergrad and to OU for grad school, and enjoyed both.

As for BG being ugly, I personally don't think all of it is, but I do think part of it is and can understand why others think it is. The massive amounts of parking lots are ugly and an eyesore. They just are, and they look horrible. And BG has a ton of them. And every time you turn around there's another sea of asphalt being paved (huge lot where old sorority houses were, grass area by rec center, houses that were torn down on edge of campus to name a few of the recent ones). The massive one smack in the middle of campus has never helped either. The mismatch theme of buildings makes the campus look very disjointed, and the lack of many mature trees and flat campus (which nothing can be done about) don't help either. Kreischer and Harshman quads looks like prisons, although I heard Harshman is being torn down to make way for a new entryway which would be excellent as it's one of the first buildings you see arriving to campus. The Family Science building is horrendous looking (who in the world designed that thing?), but I heard it's also coming down too which is great news. I do think the main quad area in front of University Hall is very nice, as is the quad with the bell tower, and the commons area in front of the union is a million times nicer than it was in the early 1990's. And while I'm much more in favor of the way our traditional buildings look (University, Mosley and Hanna), some of the new constructions looks pretty nice and it looks like an effort is being made to improve parts of the inner campus. I noticed they have landscaped some areas over the years, but I wish they'd consider more things like trees over flowers and scrubs because you need to also consider the academic year essentially runs from late August to early May. Most students never see all these flowers they plant because they leave before they bloom and when they return they're on their way out. But it does look good for summer campus visits. While most trees also don't have leaves on them during most of the academic year, they are a much heartier and noticeable touch and once mature, look very nice and help give campuses a nice canopy (like the main quad has now).

I actually think the town of BG is pretty nice, especially from downtown towards the west. Some very nice neighborhoods and houses, mature trees, etc. It's a very nice area, much nicer than the area around the university. I think downtown is rather nice. It's too bad it's not a few blocks closer to central campus as I think it would help to attract more students if it had a closer proximity like it is in Athens, Oxford and Kent.

Nah, BG is ugly. That's why I forgot to leave after coming here in 1970 :P

Likewise, I remember the cold cold walk from Conklin to, well, just about anywhere, my universe ended at old Howards on the West, Pagliai's on the South, Kroger on the North (remember Heinz in the summer, it competed with Poe Ditch), and Stadiumview Plaza on the East, unless I was going home down Route 6.

When I was on campus, the structure that is now Myles Pizza was Falcon Pizza (phone 352-1215). No matter what you all think, the sauce isn't what makes a Myles Pizza, it's the toppings. For me, the less sauce, the better.

Look at it this way, basketball and hockey are right around the corner! What, 5 weeks to the exhibition?

Bowling Green, Ohio is my second home and I do miss it. So to all who are disparaging my Alma Mater, my home away from home, over the play of the football team, stop it. Stop blowing it out of proportion. Take a breath, give it a rest.

If forced to select a single defining characteristic it would be the awesome burnt cheese on a Myle's pie. But overall it's the entire thing. The sheer mounds of cheese and toppings. The wonderfully spicy sauce. A crust that can actually hold up under the weight of all those toppings and cheese. They have the best pepperoni in town and the sausage is pretty awesome as well. The fact the toppings all go on raw to add flavor (grease) to the whole thing is key as well.

It's unique and amazing. And what really sucks is when you want a Myle's Pizza there isn't a thing in the world that even comes close. I've never found another pizza even remotely similar elsewhere.

I've been eating there for 30 years and it IS bg pizza to me.

The football team will eventually improve. No Myles Pizza ever is heartbreaking.

We are in BG any chance we can get and having been bringing our children to our home away from home since birth.

Not sure what is going to fill the void on Sunday after a great Saturday tailgate and afternoon of football. Myles was our place.
