Not sure if this will help or hurt...we often lose verbals as we get closer to signing day, but I don't know that a June verbal necessarily translates into a June signing. The Dec period might reduce the number of late flips we see. but that would severely impact Dec new hires as the pool of available players would shrink on a daily basis

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Does it really matter? Used to be when they signed it was treated as a contract but now it doesn't mean anything. I get it if there was or is a coaching change but many others switch because.......and ask for a release.

It is a contract once you sign your NLI. If they want to leave the program they need permission, and schools can restrict who they can sign with next. Also they will have to sit out a year as well.Tech2000 wrote:Does it really matter? Used to be when they signed it was treated as a contract but now it doesn't mean anything. Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, teach PE.
