OU thread
Re: OU thread
Not that it would matter since BG gets blown out most games, but wow do they waste timeouts.

3rd and 15 and you throw a screen pass to the flat.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

That 3rd and goal was a terrible call

Re: OU thread
Why in the hell would you kick a field goal?
Re: OU thread
I actually liked the 3rd and goal call a lot .... except wrong receiver to target. Wilson was effectively a decoy on that play and should have remained the decoy and not the target. That should have been a target to the left receiver with a run option for Morgan.

How many running backs does Ohio have?

Re: OU thread
I think I'm getting close to being done with this season, and there's still six more games to go. I'll watch a team low on talent if they play hard, but even at this point I have to question the effort being given, especially in an important game like today. The cherry on top will be getting embarrassed next week at the Glass Bowl.

There is chemistry?MarkL wrote:We have problems on offense and defense - big problems on both. Honestly what adjustments can the coaches do which have a good chance of working but will not hurt the team's chemistry?
Re: OU thread
TIL: as a defensive player, if you knock down a receiver while the ball is in the air before the ball makes contact with the player, it is not pass interference. I never would have known this valuable information if it were not for professionalism of the excellent Mid American Conference football referees.

Nice catch Teo Redding! He has come to play the last couple of weeks.

Re: OU thread
Even though this field position will not be good, that stop was enormous. Some more offense and we can get back into this thing.

Re: OU thread
That last pick, with seven minutes left, was not a good pass by Morgan. Ugh.
Re: OU thread
Ohio is playing a poor game and they are still up 13...they would be down 14 against a decent team.
Hopefully football doesn't turn into BG basketball...If I'm the AD I'm trying anything I can to come up with a buyout and find a new coach.
