Western

Post by apollo »

Big weekend for BG...interesting to see how we bounce back. I know we're a powerhouse, but Western has a decent team.

Conference wise the WCHA couldn't have gotten off to a worse start...1-9 in non-conference games...couple more bad weekends and it'll be really tough to even have a chance at an at large bid.

Scoring more than one goal will be a good place to start.

2 goals within the first 4 minutes is a good start.

End of the first, BG leads 2-1. Shots are showing 10-7, BG.

Western is 1/5 on the powerplay. BG is 0/3, but has a shorthanded goal.

We look good tonight. Just need to keep on the attack and put it away.
Up 3-2 with 5:23 left the 2nd.

On a different note, what the hell is up with all the penalties? There have been more penalties tonight than you'd see in two whole games in previous seasons...

There is a supposed "crackdown" on obstruction this season.

End of 2, BG leads 4-2. Shots showing 22-16.

Officials showing their true colors and calling a very one sided game. Western loves their interference on faceoffs.

Seriously. My favorite was the phantom holding penalty on the breakaway.

Game is being called one way. Walker with a breakaway, gets hooked, no call.

Heading to OT, tied at 4
