Ferris

A lot of excitement around this program...more really good insight from everyone this week.

In honor of the Cubs breaking their streak....Fun Fact: Only 3 schools have a longer NCAA Tournament drought than BG:

American International
Army
Dartmouth

As for this weekend...I say we split. Ferris' best player came back last weekend and they were a better. 3-1 BG, 4-2 Ferris

I just want to see a lot of 5 on 5, so I am hoping we do not take a lot of penalties. If we stay out of the box, we should come out on top.

I looked up stats today, and surprisingly we're both below the national average. Ferris takes 6.3 penalties per game, and we take over 7.2. But we're 49th nationally in special teams offense and dead last in special teams defense, while Ferris is about average in both. Powerplays will be crucial this weekend.

I would take a look at our stats for the Miami games as opposed to the overall average. We played a pair of very clean games against them and I expect more of the same this weekend.

We all know it's up to the stripes to decide how "clean" the games are this weekend. I can see consistency from one crew to another becoming a major problem.

End of the 1st BG leads 3-1. Shots are showing 8-4, BG.

The so called "obstructing crackdown" is over. They are "letting them play" tonight.

End of 2, BG leads 4-1. Shots showing 21-9, BG.

Need a good third to close this one out.

4-1 final. Little bit of a sketchy third, but the defense held and made some good plays.

Ferris made some very good adjustments from night one to night two. Especially on their PK. They came out and smashed us around right from the get go. They clogged up the o zone and blocked a bunch of shots. All that said, BG needed to be better. They had a few guys who were not very good at all.
