How did we get credited with an interception there????? The ball was on the ground! MAC refs at their best. SMH

Congrats Falcons. Lord knows it's been a long time coming. It certainly wasn't pretty and it certainly wasn't easy, but a win is a win. Enjoy it and go get another one next week.

That is now 8 straight wins over Akron. The last loss was the Phantom offensive pass interference in 2006.

I was wrong on the score but I was right about poorly played. 6 turnovers by Akron, 2 by us. Neither team completed 50% of their passes. Akron's QB could barely throw. At least ESPN didn't have a basketball or soccer analyst doing color.

Decent effort against a depleted Akron team. Had to make it interesting by blowing an 18-point lead of course, but when you're 1-8 you take a win anyway possible. Hopefully they can finish strong and create some positive momentum for 2017.

Hated seeing the 18 pt lead disappear but we didn't fold this time and got the win. It felt great on a cold night. Dayon's Den and family were there and his son Cambell is still undefeated at BG games! Win the next two and we have some momentum on which to build. Akron fans were complaining about their injuries...nah, no need to hear that. We're a bit banged up as well.

I'm trilled. I was flipping back and forth between BG and UT (my fiancée is a UT grad); both were nail biters. I'm just excited that we beat Akron, that we beat an FBS team, and that we beat a MAC opponent. One win can sure make you feel so much better!

Nice to see the DB's make some plays against Akron's s**t QB's...they've gotten that first real taste of blood and that should make them a bit more confident and aggressive going forward. Bozeman has really come along at safety. We could really have something there.

Both the OL and DL played well. Again..it's something to build on. we have Wilson back next year, JC will be back, can Denley recover from his knee injury..can Domer? If we can consistently pound it on the ground, Morgan will benefit greatly as a passer.

we have 15 verbals that I know of...the announce crew said Jinks has 20 kids coming in next year on schollie (we're at 76 right now...I think that's the lowest since the Brandon APR years) . Hopefully...we have some size and speed coming on at WR
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Nice to get the win. Hopefully can at least split the last 2 and have a bit of confidence heading into next year.

Not to throw cold water on a much needed win, but our " body language" on sidelines still looked very shaky. Guys wrapped up in the long wrobes like it was ZERO out, others just walking around , some sitting talking to another guy, WHILE the game was in progress! I was fortunate enough to be a guest of BG in a suite, so was comfortable, but it gave me a unique vantage point to see the BG sidelines. Not sure whether coaches are even aware of what goes onbehind them.
