Hi guys,
Is anyone heading to the game in Toledo against RIT? If so, does a ticket for the Walleye game get you into the BG game as well?
Thanks!

Re: RIT
One ticket is good for both games. I will encourage you to purchase through the BG ticket office. Not sure if it makes a difference to the Huntington Center, but it shows more interest in the BG game.kckrieg84 wrote:Hi guys,

Nothing against Wilson and Hills, but holy smokes can we stop with the Atlantic Hockey teams for these events? Why don't they try to actually make some money and play a decent opponent? You couldn't pay me to watch this game.pdt1081 wrote:One ticket is good for both games. I will encourage you to purchase through the BG ticket office. Re: RIT
Thank you. I also like watching Walleye games, so their opponent is not that big of a deal to me. Although, It wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a Notre Dame, Michigan, or Michigan State in who can draw some people. Maybe it was attempted and they turned it down?

Atlantic Hockey teams, specifically those in Pennsylvania and New York are good relationships to maintain. The game could be played in the Ice Arena, over break, with 700 people in attendance, or you can move the game to the Huntington Centre and and reward fans with two hockey games instead of 1. I absolutely hate watching hockey in the Huntington Centre. But it's the right move to make. Gives the Walleye fans a chance to see college hockey, and gives BG fans a chance to watch a Walleye game that they wouldn't otherwise attend.apollo wrote:Nothing against Wilson and Hills, but holy smokes can we stop with the Atlantic Hockey teams for these events? And for the record, of the 4 BG hockey games played in Toledo recently, only 2 have been against Atlantic Hockey (Robert Morris outdoor and now RIT). The other 2 were against Michigan (didn't really draw) and Western last season.

Re: RIT
Make it an event...get North Dakota, Boston College, Norte Dame, etc....someone who you can actually market. You may have to go on the road a couple times he next year, but who cares, go win a road series and give yourself a chance for an at large bid.
The Michigan game played in Toledo 7-8years ago was the same day as the OSU/Michigan football game. Shockingly, no one showed up.
