Worst trophy ever gets the appropriate ranking from SI. I hate that f***ing thing.

Re: Trophies
Would you rather battle for that skillet?
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: Trophies
I 100% agree. The "Battle of I-75" is a horrible name to call this rivalry, and the trophy is a piece of junk. It looks like a paper weight. The Battle of I-75 spews lack of creativity, it's boring, bland and flat out stupid. We had a great name and trophy for this rivalry and went completely opposite to this crap.Lord_Byron wrote:Worst trophy ever gets the appropriate ranking from SI. I hate that f***ing thing.

Re: Trophies
The Toledo war trophy would somehow have to convey two groups of armed non soldiers wandering around a swamp desperately trying to avoid each other for fear that someone might actually get shot.
Or you could do a dragon fighting a bear...has nothing to do with either team's mascot but c'mon...it's a dragon fighting a bear

Re: Trophies
I'm quite convinced that never beating Turdledo since this trophy came into existence is not an accident. Losing the game is preferable to taking possession of such a terrible trophy. To do this thing justice, the loser should be required to store the it until they win and earn the right to get rid of it.
Re: Trophies
How about the "Black Swamp" trophy? I'm not sure what it should look like, maybe the creature from the black lagoon emerging from a swamp.
I wonder what other schools along I-75 think of our current trophy. Dayton, Write St, UC, UK, Tenn, Ga Tech, Ga St etc........
