Just got back from embarrassing loss to Cleveland State. Poor play from start to finish. Poorly prepared/motivated team.
Abysmal defense. Should have beaten this team by double digits. Poor coaching, poor to no adjustments during the game. Terrible refereeing--where does the MAC get these hacks?
No reason to think BGSU women will finish higher than last.

Well said, GB68! The Falcons got beat by a terrible team again.........THEMSELVES!!! It was painful to watch! The entire coaching staff needs to be shown the door. I like Coach Roos, but she, along with her staff, has no clue how to make her team better.. I believe it's time! This is the third straight year that BGSU fans have to watch their women's basketball team become everyone else's "whipping boy", or more fittingly, "whipping girl". It's time for Roos to step up and own her responsibility for this team's failures, and it's time for the AD to start a new search for Roos' replacement. Sad to say, but these players have become victims of poor leadership. Perhaps Jennifer should start shipping her resume off to other institutions before the hammer drops.

Starting guards for BG? NINE for FORTY ONE! Wonder why you lose? Got to say we used to take a couple trips back to see women play. Did see the CINCY game. Not sure if we'll take trips down to Akron ( which seems to be regaining form) or KSU. These are 2 games we usually try to see since proximity helps. Just not sure we will take time or not.

Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics D. Christopher Kingston has announced a two-year contract extension for head women's basketball coach Jennifer Roos. Roos' contract now runs through May 1, 2019.

Quite a year we're putting together for BGSU athletics...not surprising.... just an accumulation of the way things have being done by the past few ADs showing up on the court, field, ice, etc.

I can understand why he extended her at the time: they had been decimated by injuries two yrs in a row after a 30 win season (IIRC).
But past 2 yrs have not looked good at all... Someone alluded to this already. While there ARE some good players on the team, there doesnt appear to be any " go to" player, someone who wants the ball in crunch time. A couple of the recruits coming might be that type player, but we won't know if that's true or not.

I agree with everyone!!! It's only December and already I am SICK and TIRED of losing!!!!!! I took a quick look at the schedule during the game last night and sighed a sigh of relief when I realized that we don't play Toledo at home this year!!! It's not the refs fault - this team is unprepared and coached badly!!!!! Come on AD - do something about this mess!!!!

I would hope thy pull the trigger in March...otherwise we're probably headed for another "coaching here 'til the contract runs out" scenario that's played out with the men. I understand that money is tight...but how deep do you want to make the crater?

I pretty much gave up on Roos last year. The successful BG coaches always pointed out that basketball is not a democracy. So, when the coach tries to play all the players to the point of no continuity, then there seems to be a problem. Geeze, under Voll, Clarke, Miller some new players saw very little time until their Junior year and, did Lauren or Jackie ever get benched for bad shooting?

We need a point guard, plain and simple and we could use a tall player. Hmm, same thing every year. I wouldn't mind seeing the team lose in the preseason if we didn't play the same players who didn't improve much over last year's losing season. Santoro's forte isn't the 3 point shot and I'm beginning to wonder what the freshmen can do, since they don't get much playing time in close games, even if we're losing. All I know is the starters came out in the second half and sucked. When you get outscored 14-0 on a 26-9 run and a miracle 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter, it might to be time the coach wished she had used some of the freshmen to see if they could do any better. But no, she'll continue to coach the same old way, just like last year and the year before (oh she got a pass on that year), and probably the year before that with Miller's recruits.

Anyway, I have my season tickets, I can't coach any better, and I'm not going to bash the coach each chance I get. I just hope someone pulls the plug before 2019.

2016 has to one of the worst years collectively in BGSU history. Kingston bails, attendance worse than ever, yet all the administrative people just hanging around until they find something better. The teams results have correlation.
