It's clear in that Spezia video clip that he was hurt and we shot the puck right afterward. Whistle should have gone immediately had a good referee been on the ice knowing his job. It was also a penalty, (checking from behind, boarding) and the whistle should have gone as soon as they touched the puck. I've seen that very same play called on us for a five minute major.

Do you think there will be discipline from the league?

It's pathetic that 9-8-1 is good enough for third place.

Just win.

Good to get the split. Hopefully we go on a really nice run.

Will there be? Probably not. Should there be? Absolutely. Player battling for the puck along the boards, engaged with another player already, player didn't turn his back to the hit, offending player could clearly see the other player's number the entire time.

I don't have/do twitter. Saw the tweet on ASN's website. Who wants to tweet that video at the WCHA and ask why there was no call?

BG now in 4th and that's probably where they will finish. 1st and 2nd not reachable. They can still get 3rd but we have 2 less games to play. So it looks like 4th.

I already tweeted it at them, but they probably won't respond.

Agree we're on the road in the second round. While Mankato has two in hand, they still face both Tech and Bemidji on the road. If we can manage a split next weekend we set up pretty well the rest of the way. Only concern is the 3rd place team currently matches up against Ferris while the 4th gets Huntsville. Would definitely NOT want FSU in the first round.

Both FSU and UAH face Tech, Bemidji, and us down the stretch. With one point separating the two it's too close/early to tell where it's most advantageous for us to be standings-wise.

We need a split next weekend. I would be extremely happy with a split. Be happier with a win and a tie.

If we were to win both games in Mankato that would wipe out the 2 games in hand Mankato has with us and 3rd place could still be within reach.

BGDREW, that's true, BG is currently tied in 3rd but Mankato has 2 games in hand. All they would need is 1 point in those 2 games in hand to take over 3rd. Even if Mankato would lose both games we would still be tied but lose in tiebreakers so that's why I say we are 4th.

Brought my family out for our first Falcon Hockey game on Friday and had a blast! My boys especially loved it! I'll have to bring them back out for Dollar Day on the 20th \:D/

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
