Anyone know Miami's Schedule for 2005?
Anyone know Miami's Schedule for 2005?
I couldn't find it. I was wondering what crossover games the RedHawks have next season and how they play home and away?
GO BG!!!
For that matter, does anybody know a good one-stop site for what schedule info there is for the entire MAC?
Typically you can pin down half or more of the final schedule based on certain assumptions, and dates when other teams can't be someplace.

I don't understand the hold up on the rest of the MAC. The only ones available at http://www.nationalchamps.net/index.htm are BG, UT, and OU.
I useed Nathan's method to see if any of our four home opponents are available to play at the Doyt on 9/10. Guess who the only is? Toledo. So it looks like we will be either playing on the road or not playing. FWIW, road games could be at Miami or Ball State. No way do I want to play Miami or Toledo that early in the season.
I know there has been some talk of moving the Boise St game to a weeknight. Given the above about potential 9/10 opponents, I guess I would prefer to see this game moved up to 9/14 or so, instead of back to 9/21 or so. In any event, it looks like we won't have a home game until at least 9/24 at best.

We already know,
September 3 at Ohio State
September 24 Cincinnati
November 12 at Temple
HOME
BG
Akron
Buffalo
Away
@ Kent
@ Ohio
@ Northern Illinois
"not sure which one is home and which one is away"
Central Michigan
Eastern Michigan
Glad to see they have to go to Dekalb to see the Huskies.

Miami's available? Hmmm, I'm having a flashback to playing NIU early in the season at ESPN's request. Result = disasterous loss.Warthog wrote:I useed Nathan's method to see if any of our four home opponents are available to play at the Doyt on 9/10. Guess who the only is? Toledo. Could it be deja vu all over again?
Forgot to check Boise St's schedule and they play on the 10th already so can't move that game to the 14th. It would have to be the 21st. So that leaves us:
9/3 @ Wisconsin
9/10 Toledo, @ Miami, @ Ball State, or OPEN
9/17(21) @ Boise St.
9/24 (if Boise still on 17) we would have to have a home game given the above and doubt that we would play UT so early in the season. That leaves OU, Akron, and WMU. Akron and WMU both open with two road games before this date so doubt they would be happy with three in a row on the road so I put Ohio in here. Or OPEN if we play at Miami or Ball State on 9/10.
10/1 Temple at home
Wide open after that. My inkling is we go to Muncie on 9/10 and don't play on 9/24. That gives us our home opener and homecoming on the same day.
Unless of course, we get asked to play Southern Cal in the Eddie Robinson, Coaches Against Cancer, Nokia season opener presented by Microsoft on 8/27 at the Doyt.
9/3 @ Wisconsin
9/10 Toledo, @ Miami, @ Ball State, or OPEN
9/17(21) @ Boise St.

Even better, they would probably play it on a Tuesday night for ESPN. So we play @Miami on 9/13 and then @ Boise on 9/20 or 21 also for ESPN.1987alum wrote:Miami's available? Hmmm, I'm having a flashback to playing NIU early in the season at ESPN's request. Result = disasterous loss.

Great exposure but we could start the season 0-3 with three road games like that.

With Miami playing Temple on Nov 12, that limits the opportunities to play them on a weeknight for ESPN, if we want to keep Toledo at the end of the schedule. If the Boise game gets moved to a weeknight, we can only fit one other weeknight game into our schedule. When we play UT up there, that has been a weeknight game, but when in BG it is the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. So we could still play Miami on a weeknight, like Nov 1(?), but we would HAVE to play a game on 9/10 and UT on the 25 or 26 to fit them all in. There are only 13 Saturdays for games this year. So if we play Miami and Boise on weeknights, that eats up our extra available Saturdays as weeknight games eat up two weeks of scheduling.
No matter what, I already know I am going to hate our schedule.

Our MAC schedule is "supposedly", however the person who posted it is a pretty reliable source. I guess we will wait and see and I echo your sentiments about weeknight/weekend games. We love em cause of the exposure, but it screws things up for Saturday games. I love hitting the road for games, but a Wednesday night trip to Dekalb is out of the question...if that happens.
