Lots of talk for this game. Let's just score one more goal than we give up.

End of 1, BG leads 2-1. Shots are 9-10, Bueller.

BG is 0 for 0 on the powerplay. Ferris is 1 for 4. Going to be one of those games.

Well if we can outscore them by one goal per period we will win.

Bowling Green scores quickly twice on a power-play and a break way. It's 4-1 good guys, now. Quite a start to this series.

End of 2, BG leads 6-1. Shots are 27-13, BG.

BG is 1 for 2 on the powerplay, Bueller is still 1 of 4. It took Bueller 15 minutes to get their first shot on goal that period.

Would you even think of pulling Nell just to give him some rest for tomorrow night. May want to rest a few key players before Bueller tries some chippy penalties. Should be able to hold a 5 goal lead with your backups.

Good job, boys. Too bad Nell didn't get a shutout, thanks in part to...

...BAYLISSSSS. He needs to sit. He's a repeat offender, hasn't been scoring (ahem), and should spend some quality time in the stands.

I'm perfectly happy with a 6-1 win. At this point of the Season could care less about shutouts and personal goals. Let's just wrap this up tomorrow night

I've seen far worse hits go un-penalized this season. Last I knew, there was no in game review process for penalties.

The officiating in this league can be summed up like this, Craggs got a penalty for cross-checking without having a stick in his hands.

Edit: 12 seconds into this video they show the hit. Reverse the color of the jerseys and it wouldn't even be 2 for boarding.

Don't worry, this is still a clean hit.

I've re-watched back and forward the Baylis hit at least 20 times. As a guy who played hockey all I can say is that Ferris guy is an embarrassment to real hockey players everywhere. First Baylis hit him in the hip from the side, second he knew it was coming, third he put his hands out to break his fall, fourth he flopped at the end to add a little flare to it. Please......have some pride guy.

Spezia got hit worse in one of the recent NMU games and not a thing was called......CORRECTION....it was BSU, as the guy above me posted while I was typing this.

As far as Ferris. If you can shut down that top line, like we did tonight, they have no shot. They can't score outside of that top line. Stay out of the box, shut down their only line, score 2-3 goals and we'll have a 2 game series win.

That said, I fully expect FSU to empty it all out tomorrow. Daniels will have them ready to go......we'll need to play even better.

Tonight was Baylis' third game misconduct, so by NCAA rules he is suspended for Saturday's game.

Dan Kovarik was a referee for that series as well. The other referee from that game was in BG last weekend.

I still can't believe there was no penalty at the end of Dufour's "Sports Center" goal.

I get that, but it's easy to be happy about a win when it's in the bag. At the time, we were up 2-0 in the 1st against a tough team. I've been complaining about Baylis to Ms. BG84 all season. He leads the team in penalties and has scored a whopping 4 goals.

I do not see any contact to the head in the hit. Maybe review of the penalty is allowed in postseason play.
