Several sources have indicated that All-Mac Selection Jaaron Simmons is forgoing a final season at OU to transfer to Michigan as an immediately eligible graduate student. Simmons had explored leaving for the NBA so this is likely the next step to allow him to be more visible and gain experience against big time competition. No confirmation yet from U of M but this continues a mini-trend where MAC-level stars are leaving for bigger programs under the Graduate Transfer rules. I know another poster on one of the forums previosuly stated that they never saw this coming and expected the reverse to be happening. We will see. Below is the article link from Mlive.
