Thad Matta out at OSU

Post by gmartin »

Thad Matta has been let go at Ohio State.

I wonder if Archie is wishing he would have held out just a little bit longer.

I was wondering if they would make a run at Dambrot. I know he just moved to Duquesne, but he was great at Akron, and he coached LeBron in high school. With LeBron's sons getting older and starting to think about college, it would be huge for OSU to bring in someone that could persuade LBJ's kids to come there.

They are going after a big name. Will try to lure Billy Donovan or Brad Stevens back from the NBA to college. Possibly Sean Miller from Arizona.

The dude at Xavier, more likely. Donovan & Stevens would be pipe dreams. There's no way they're coming (If one of them takes the tOSU job, I'll get back on this site & say how wrong I was & how sorry I am for being so wrongfully wrong). My guess is they go after Mack with an outside chance at Arizona's Miller.

Remember Urban and Billy Donovan are the best of friends. Also I don't think Donovan is happy how Durant left. It wouldn't surprise me if he came back to college to coach. I hope I'm right because I want to see you come back and say you are sorry. Lol

Here'my hope that OSU hires Xavier's basketball coach, to leave GC hanging, and he will then probably hire Coach Orr!

Durant really ruined the NBA...nobody in their respective conferences can touch the Cavs or The Warriors...Cavs can barely stay on the floor with Curry, Durant,.. etc..... We went through a whole season and playoffs for this? Why bother?

I totally agree with you in that, if I'm OSU, I would definitely see if Donovan or Stevens are at least willing to talk. I just don't think either one would leave their current situation to come to Columbus.

Also, I'm wrong almost every time I open my mouth, according to my wife, so when I'm wrong about this, it will be just another day ending in "y"

BG board. So I don't worry about Thad Matta or OSU. Ever- unless we are playing them in any of our sports or in some other similar situation. Other than I wish Matta all the best and that he can overcome his health issues. BG board. Just my opinion.

Go Falcons!

Would this not have been better under "other schools" section?
