Rachel ran a smart race, finishing 18th and 5 seconds off her pb. Many times in important long races a runner will go out too fast and run out of gas well before the finish line. She must have been paying attention to her split times and stayed well within her capabilities. She did BGSU proud.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.
