Ff1,
You bet me to it! I don't care to see or hear about them, which is why I suggested the appropriate place for that thread.

Wow, the heat must be getting to you all. Any roundball news is news, and I can always skip the thread if I don't like the subject. But, since it's the ONLY basketball news in Men or Women for the last month, it's something to read.
Only what, 120 days to the start of practice?

You people are weirdos. There have been 2 threads in this entire forum in a month. This thread says exactly what it is. Why don't you just not click on it?

Good hire tho....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Thad Matta out at OSU
Exactly. All these forums were made more than 10 years ago when this board was actually busy and they were actually needed. Next to nobody looks at anything but the top 3 or 4 forums and the traffic is probably a fifth of what is was back then.Globetrotter wrote:You people are weirdos. We get back to our winning ways and I think traffic will pick up again.kdog27 wrote:Exactly. ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: Thad Matta out at OSU
Doubt it. Internet forum traffic is down across the board. It's a dying medium and the only of us still around are those that have been around forever because we got in on it a long time ago, forged relationships with one another, and are still hanging on to this ancient technology.footballguy51 wrote:We get back to our winning ways and I think traffic will pick up again.kdog27 wrote:Exactly. The modern discussions of this nature happen in 140 characters at a time....or on facebook for people who want to make longer arguments. I don't think board traffic here will ever come close to what it was 10 years ago. Heck we were in 3 straight MAC title games in football and I don't think the board traffic was even close to what it was back in the Brandon days.
I can think of 5-6 good high volume posters that barely, if ever, post here anymore. That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more. I'm not sure there are 5 new high volume posters added here in the last 5-10 years.
IF (big if) we are still adding die hard fans of BGSU sports, they're not seeking out and joining this forum.

I'm probably one of those and I miss a few of those posters. Wonder when the last time Jacobs4Heisman was here?hammb wrote:I can think of 5-6 good high volume posters that barely, if ever, post here anymore. That's just off the top of my head,

I think that bad play has the most to do with it. Interest dwindled in the seats along with it.
The other is the community doesn't seem to be real positive here. A lot of complaining.

STFU....
I think hammb nailed it... message boards and forums are like the old AOL chat rooms and usenet discussion groups...dying forms of communication that people utilize mostly out of habit. The habit here seems to center on some form of griping...myself included
