First let's start with the good news. BG appears to have landed a pair of transfers in LB Roland Walder (Kentucky) and LB Tyler Traylor (Cincinnati). Unfortunately, both will have to sit out this year. Walder was pretty highly rated coming out of high school and is the second LB that BG has from UK (Dorian Hendrix is the other). He also mentioned that a few new names surfaced on the roster in RB Denzel Norvell and WR's Aidan O'Connor and Justin Sawmiller.

Now for the bad news. It appears BG's top recruit in this year's recruiting class, Travis Koontz, may not be with BG. That would be a tough blow if so as he was a big reason for BG's class standing where it was ranked. I was told the coaches wanted to redshirt him, but his status is TBD. Also, WR Tyler Tupa, OL JC Bartok and RB Calen Taylor appear to also be gone. I heard Bartok was ruled out medically for 2017, but it looks like it now may be career ending. Tupa was on the fence even through spring as if he was staying at BG, but it appears he's now gone. I always had hopes of him becoming a Corey Partridge type of a player after the strong showing he put up in the spring game a couple years ago. Jinks said Taylor was a Josh Cleveland type of a back, but he looks to be gone too.

Agreed about FalconBlog but I do have a few updates.

Bartok & Taylor were gone in the spring roster updates(IIRC). Norvell(RB) has been on, off and now back on the roster again. WR's Aidan O'Connor and Justin Sawmiller were on the spring roster and the latter played quite a bit in the spring with all the WR injuries.

A couple other new names I noticed were Julius Van Rooyen(TE) and Sy Dabney(DB). I didn't see Roland Walder on the current roster but I do see Traylor(TE) on the roster.

A few more things I noticed. Long snapper James Carolan (one of the nation's best) wasn't on the roster either. He was a late signee (4/13) but isn't listed. TE Julius Van Rooyen was a late addition as mentioned above and appears to be from Australia from what I saw. Other names missing are Deangelo Simmons, as well as Malik Blackwell and Dane Kersh who were added late.

Sy Dabney is Shermond Dabney.
