Ok lets try to help our team out since our real coordinators don't have a game plan. This is what I would do going into next weeks game.
1. TELL PLAYERS THIS IS A MUST GAME!!! BEFORE GOING INTO THE MAC.
2. Not sure if I would change quarterback just yet???????? Wait until Thursday to make that call.
3. Control the clock. We must use every second of the play clock before we snap the ball.
4. Control the number of series that the other team is going to have.
5. We don't have the players to play fast.
6. Take what the defense give you. 3 and 1 run the damm ball!!
7. Run the damm ball!!!!
8. More Jet sweep, quick passes,
We need to use the clock and limit touches. Offense it time you help the defense out.
Defense: 1. Safeties have to help the cornors
2. Cannot give up the home run ball.
3. Blitz.
4. D- line need pressure.
Key: Offense has to slow the game down. We don't have the QB or O line to play fast.
Help for the offensive coordinator - game plan
Re: If we are an offensive coordinators - game plan.
And if it's 3rd and 10 on your opponents 37 yard line and they have scored touchdowns on four straight possessions, plan on going for it on 4th Down. So on third down your run the ball to try to make your 4th Down shorter. You never know you may break a long run on 3rd down. After we punted NW already had the ball past the 37-yard line in four plays.
Also, it's not offense it's special teams. Do not bring the ball out of the end zone when it is 3 yards deep and you are trapped in the corner!! You only have one direction to go and you're not going to get past the 25-yard line, and the sidelines acts as an extra defender. Also, stop they're catching the football on a punt at the 4-yard line. Plant your feet at the 10-yard line and if the ball goes over your head Let It Go. Turn into a blocker and block the coverage and let the ball go in the endzone.

Look we are already helping the team out. Now lets get a solid plan and move forward. I forgot one question.
Can our kicker kick the ball in the end zone. I have yet to see that happen in 3 game?

Telling the kick returners to take a knee in the damned end zone and the free 25 yards instead of running it out, barely making the 15, and often times getting a penalty, would go along way in helping!
And I agree on the third and long and going for it on fourth down. You don't punt the ball from the damned 40 yard line no matter the distance when you can't stop the other team and you're down several scores late in the game.

Unless he's hurt, I'd be using Claire more at RB as well. Wilson has shown nothing in three games so far. We know Cleveland has speed (but is a bit small); and Claire looked good in the few carries I saw. If it's a blocking thing, then work like hell on getting him up to speed. Not having a better rushing attack isn't going to help anything.

I see what, that's why I posted it, RWT sees it, and Factman agrees. We all see it. Take a knee, don't fair catch the ball at the 5, go for it on 4th inside the 40. We all see it. Now if our 'high school' coaching staff could only see it and teach it.factman wrote:

Don't like quoting myself, but I did find out Claire IS injured. Nothing terribly serious, but enough that they're considering keeping him out one more game, before MAC play starts. Too bad. He and Cleveland make a nice one-two punch.Falconwriter wrote:Unless he's hurt, I'd be using Claire more at RB as well. Wilson has shown nothing in three games so far.
