Re: Northwestern
Safe to say James Morgan may be done as the starter. No reason to burn Doege's redshirt if he wasn't going to see playing time after tonight. Nothing like a QB controversy for an 0-3 team.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Northwestern
........ sad to say fans too...... It's a shame how many people on this site alone don't care about our program like they used to. Bad game day experience, bad product and inexperienced coaches keeping fans away.Falconfreak90 wrote:Yep.factman wrote:Including coaching staff!Falconfreak90 wrote:EVERY job is open but punter, Kicker and Nate Locke.
Re: Northwestern
As I said in the earlier thread Jinks already made it clear that Morgan had to have an impressive game tonight or Doege would play. Doege got 50% of the reps this week in practice. It's Doege time for the next 4 years.jpfalcon09 wrote:Safe to say James Morgan may be done as the starter. No reason to burn Doege's redshirt if he wasn't going to see playing time after tonight. My mistake was not betting on it. Easy money betting against poorly coached teams.Falconfreak90 wrote:Winner on the night by a long shot....Clubber wrote:NW 48

It's the atmosphere around the entire athletic department. Karma. Rob Peter to pay Paul...this is what you get.gmartin wrote:........ sad to say fans too...... Re: Northwestern
None of these games could be blamed on him. If he plays better against MSU they should have been up 17-0 quickly because of MSU's mistakes, but I still doubt they go on to win that game seeing the way MSU dominated the rest of it. Last week the team showed no heart or intensity, QB was completely irrelevant. I didn't watch last night, but I find it impossible to believe that playing a true Freshman QB is the difference between winning and losing by 6 TDs.Class of 61 wrote:When your punter has , I believe, SEVEN punts in 3 quarters, you have one pathetic offense. We have 2 "allegedly " offensive coordinators. WHO specifically calls the plays? It might be time to put criticism where it belongs. Doege is in game for those who've crying for him, but I still think THIS one can't be blamed on Morgan.
This team has a LONG way to go and QB may have been A problem, but it's far from the biggest one.
Now that the RS is off Doege you almost have to go with him. And really I'm not sure what outcome would possibly end up in Jinks' favor with this one. If he is clearly superior to Morgan then you should have started him from the getgo. IF he doesn't look any better than Morgan it is a waste of a RS year (which isn't a huge deal to me), but really just shows the coaches are clueless and grasping at desperate straws.
My how this program has fallen in such a short time...

Re: Northwestern
Desperate people do desperate things. Morgan got pulled because he missed some pretty easy 3rd down throws that would have extended drives and kept the defense off the field. Although the key TO that got the bakll rolling was Guytin's fumble. Doege is Jink's guy...I think Jinks wants to go with his guys.
