I got a pocket Red Wings schedule at a Little Caesars the other day, and it's listed as Jan 1&2. I would say it's official.

Detroit also has a home game on January 3rd against Ottawa, for anyone interested in possibly watching Hammond play.

I can't believe how little is officially known about this event at this point.

Hammond will likely need to be traded or someone will need to get injured in Ottawa for him to make it back to the NHL. They signed Condon for 3 years at $2.4 million per year and sent Hammy to the AHL.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

There’s no chance this sells out, so I would personally wait for tickets to go on Groupon or another service to save some money.

I’ve yet to hear of an on-sale date for general ticket sales.

Michigan Tech's website schedule shows them playing Michigan State on Monday, 1/1, 3:37 start. That would have us playing Michigan in the second game on New Year's Day. 1/2 is for the loser vs loser and championship games.
Still no ticket info.
For those thinking about spending a night or two in Detroit, discounts for Motor City Casino Hotel are available if booked by November 10 using code MTUGLI18. Must call 866.782.9622. $149 per night plus postage and handling.

Assume BG will be visitors for both games?

Whoever was responsible for scheduling this event to run over to Tuesday...deserves to be cross-checked in the throat. :axe: :axe:

According to the Ticketmaster website, the "suggested" BG sections are 110-113 in the lower bowl, M12-M17 in the mezzanine section.

If any of you use Groupon, they had a deal up today for tickets for the games at the GLI.

Is anyone aware of any TV broadcast of this? I looked ahead on my guide a week ago and there was nothing listed for Fox Sport Detroit, or Fox Sports Detroit Plus. I'm pretty sure they always televised this when it was at The Joe.
