Pough had a great game, I thought. He sure was open, again and again.

This is all you need to know about how unprepare BG was for its opponent!

Ohio QB Rourke said “BG didn't account for the QB in the run game.” Rourke said “he was basically ignored on those read looks until he kept a couple.” He said a few of his runs he was simply untouched and defense looked confused.

WTF man. Ohio has been running the same type of offense with dual threat QB for years now. How don’t we know it’s coming?!

BGSU33 wrote:Ohio is the model of consistency in the MAC East over the last decade. They’re good almost every year no matter who they have to replace and are the common denominator for getting to Detroit out of the East. You either have to beat Ohio to get to Detroit, or you’ll see them in Detroit themselves. Clawson stated it early in his career at BG, and it still holds true.
Counterpoint: Ohio sucks; the rest of the MAC East (except maybe Akron) is just worse.

I'm just kidding about the 'Ohio sucks' part, sort of. I don't think Ohio is anything special at all, but the fact that they're in second place just underscores how bad the MAC East is this year. I don't think Akron is any good, but they went to WMU and got a win (but maybe that means WMU's not that great).

I do agree that Ohio's been the most consistent MAC East team over the last decade. They sucked in 2008, and it feels like they've been 7-5 every year since.

How many open passes did Morgan have to wide open receivers who had beaten the corners???!!!???? I counted four touchdowns we left on the field. Is this something that Morgan can improve upon or is this what we have for a couple of more years??

This is the reason for why we need Doege back. Morgan missed virtually every long throw he had. That's not something he can all of a sudden fix; if it was, he would have fixed it by now.

I couldnt watch game live, but am curious about the thread on Ohio having a 1st and goal from the 13. I read back the play by play and can't seem to find it. Can someone explain to me when and where the penalty was taken? And why the decision was to take the penalty in your best opinion?

I'm the one that made that comment and I went back and see I made an error. The incident was in the 3rd quarter, 13:20 remaining OWN 5 yd line not BG, so it wasn't a 1st and goal. It was 1st and 10 at their own 5 yard line. The QB ran a play and it would have been 2nd and 11 at their own 4. Instead Jinks accepted a clipping penalty and made it 1st and 13, rather than 2nd and 11. So he accepted a 2 yard penalty.

Worst penalty accepted EVER!!!!!! Why would you trade a down for 2 yards!!!!!

I counted 6 deep balls where our WR's roasted the OU DB's and every pass was overthrown. I was always in Jmo's corner and have been hoping he would get going. But he keeps giving me reasons to think he isn't going to get it done. Doege seems to be our best bet at the moment. I would love to ask Coach Jinks why he doens't let Loy throw the ball? They bring him in to rush a couple times and take him out. Can Loy make the throws??

I know that Matty J. was a special type of player.... but if Matty was our quarterback this year... would we be the odds on to win the MAC east. I think that the answer would be a resounding yes.

You cant have 1st and 10 from the 5 yard line, nor can you have 2nd and 11 from the 4. You can have 1st and 5 from the 5 and 2nd and 4 from the 4. So, was the decision between 2nd and 4 OR 1st and 13?

Never mind, I understand it now, Ohio had 1st and 13 from Ohio 3 yard line. Thanks for clarification. Drive ended in an Ohio punt.

Correct it ended in a punt after a couple Ohio 1st downs. But accepting the penalty for 2.5 yards was flat out dumb!!! Waiting for today's game. Maybe we will make a 40 yard field goal on 4th and 10. Wait, defense jumps offsides. Let's take the points of the board, accept the penalty and give our FG kicker a chance for another kick.
