Email to Huger for Season info

Post by Globetrotter »

The season is ramping up. I have been following some of the news coming out of the website, but its the typically thin. Have not seen anything from the Blade or the Sentinnel. I wondered if it might be interesting to have someone (Drumstix maybe in an official capacity), send an email on to Huger to see if he will respond so we can get a glimpse of this year. We have 5 new Freshman and 7 fresh faces all together on the team and there is nothing trickling out yet. Thinking something like....(please add your own)

Who do you see as the most improved veteran from last year?

Who do you have penciled in as the starters?

How have you been able to replace what you have lost in Ish Ali, Wes Alcegaire, Malik Hluchoweckyj and Rasheed Worrell?

Can you tell us a little bit about what Nelly Cummings will bring to the table this first year?

Can you tell us a little bit about what Joniya Gadson will bring to the table this first year?

Can you tell us a little bit about what Daeqwon Plowden will bring to the table this first year?

Can you tell us a little bit about what Derek Koch will bring to the table this first year?

Can you tell us a little bit about what Matiss Kulackovskis will bring to the table this first year?

Can you tell us about Jeffrey Uju's and Justin Turner's health?

Why have you decided to only use 12 of the 13 scholarships this season?

After the football game Saturday, had the opportunity to meet Wiggins and Uju as we walked out the gates. They both said everyone is healthy and we have a lot of talent.

Got my Season Ticket package yesterday.

I don't know if we'll be any good, but I'm always excited for the new season. I have expectations that this group should be over .500 It's the 3rd year of Huger, time to start showing us some wins. With this schedule over .500 should be easily doable. 20 wins shouldn't be impossible. And I want to advance in the MAC tournament.

If we cannot manage these somewhat meager expectations this year then I shudder to think that we are just in the same boat we've been in for years.

Why do you always ask someone else to send an email. You requested this numerous times over the years. Put on your big boy pants and email him your questions yourself!!!

I don't think it's appropriate for an individual to send an email to a coach and ask these questions. I think it's more realistic and appropriate to send an email from what could be called a more organized endeavor to follow the team. Don't you work marketing for the Colts? Do you think it's reasonable for a fan to send a letter to Chuck Pagano when the PR department isn't doing their job? Or is it more reasonable for a group of organized fans to do it? That answer is obvious. Plus you get more input. I don't assume that the questions I put in a brief message encompass what everyone wants to know here.

Wiggins got first team all MAC in one publication. That's encouraging. We are so young that I really think next year is when we make a run. Huger is fine for me until after next year.

Appreciate the shoutout, and I'm also curious about a lot of these, but I'm not sure how much of an official capacity I'd represent. I've worked for a few university departments but never for BG. I think he probably put forth the information he wants out there during his media day interview from last week.

Would you like me to do it for you Globe? I've written emails to Greg Christopher and Gregg Brandon. I've talked with Dan Dakich in person. Spoke with Coach Bergeron a few weeks ago. It may take a week or so to get a reply but I'm sure Coach Huger would get back with you. I've spoken and emailed him in the past, not since last season. You already typed up your questions. Now just simply put them in an email, with a brief introduction and send them to him. [email protected]

It doesn't suddenly become more appropriate if it comes from you.

Maybe you could print it and nail it to the Stroh Center doors a la Martin Luther

Fashion it into some sort of scroll? I like that idea.

Yep...find someone who can do calligraphy and use some parchment type paper. You should stay away from using Latin like Luther did as the season might be half over by the time it gets translated.

You could start a movement of sorts...I would stay away from calling it "Globalism" as that's a real hot button issue right now..
