Yup. The first 15 minutes were great. Then the boys let the game slip away. Hit the net! Two points are better than zero, though.jbakerifm wrote:Sure wish we could learn how to put the pedal down and finish teams off

Re: LSSU Anchors
There are three to four teams every year that sit on top of this league every year and separate themselves from the others at the bottom. BG is typically one of these teams. The problem is the though they may be better teams the separation is not that great, the lack of separation creates dozens of 2-1, 1-0, 3-2 and a lot of OT games.
Problem with BG and the teams that are good in this league.
1) Lack of scoring
2) Lack of Scoring
3) Lack of Scoring
4) Lack of Scoring
5) Lack of Scoring

1-1 after 1st.
Shots 10-7 in favor of them.

End of 2, BG leads 3-1. Shots are 19-19.
BG with 2 shorthanded goals in the game.
Interesting how extending your elbow into someone's facemask is NOT considered contact to the head.

1st place Falcons. At least for another 30 min.
Re: LSSU Anchors
In the Lakers' second goal, why didn't the fact that a Laker was in the crease without the puck, and more or less on top of Bednard, cause the goal to be disallowed?
Re: LSSU Anchors
The officials probably determined that McDonald’s penalty forced the Laker into Bednard/the crease.BG84 wrote:In the Lakers' second goal, why didn't the fact that a Laker was in the crease without the puck, and more or less on top of Bednard, cause the goal to be disallowed?

Because 90% of the officials in the WCHA are not competent enough to officiate a PeeWee game, let alone division 1 NCAA.BG84 wrote:In the Lakers' second goal, why didn't the fact that a Laker was in the crease without the puck, and more or less on top of Bednard, cause the goal to be disallowed?

That was a weak hook, he barely brushed him. Guy was out of control going to the net. The problem with the Lakers is they commit soooo many holding, hooking and interference penalties that the refs can't call against them constantly. And they end up evening things up with crappy calls against the other day team.BGDrew wrote:The officials probably determined that McDonald’s penalty forced the Laker into Bednard/the crease.BG84 wrote:In the Lakers' second goal, why didn't the fact that a Laker was in the crease without the puck, and more or less on top of Bednard, cause the goal to be disallowed?
