He bounced around due to Charlie Strong being fired at Texas and then following him to USF. BG to Tulsa was a pay raise and then Texas put pressure on Strong to improve the Offense so he went to Tulsa and got Gilbert. If Strong hadn't been fired he would still be at Texas.

Point is he went from FCS to Texas .... yes Texas in 3 years. Impressive jumps there. He's going to be a head coach somewhere.
