Chris Jan's
Wow! What a job he is doing at NMSU... Just beat #6 Miami... There resume could end up being enough to even get an at large bid... Oh what could have been.
Re: Chris Jan's
Sshhhhhhh!!! You might upset all the moralists that think it was a capital crime to grab a woman's azz, whom was a friend of his and he was at the bar with (by the way, no charges or complaints filed). Not like a suspension with mandatory counseling could of sufficed. But the athletic department jumped the gun on a threat by the Tillers because BGSU wouldn't give their no talent kids scholarships to the university.
Re: Chris Jan's
What could have been had BGSU let young Tiller aka the Patrick Roy of Maumee High School, just be part of the hockey team. Another Chris Kingston special.
Re: Chris Jan's
BGSU did the correct thing in firing Jans. Time to move on. As evident with the football hire, Kingston didn't do much of a background check. He hired Jans without knowing his alcohol issues at Wichita and then hired Jinks without doing any type of background. What's done is done. Time to move forward and get behind this team.
Re: Chris Jan's
What's done is done. However, Jans was the best basketball coach BGSU has seen in a long time, and his success will raise this topic over and over. Meanwhile, Bowling Green is bringing back the last NCAA tournament team from 50 years ago. I wonder if any of the Tillers are working at Reverends these days?

Probably not the most sensitive comment in regards to today's environment. I know its only "Locker room action" right. The situation would act out the same way today as well.CrazyFan wrote:Sshhhhhhh!!! Re: Chris Jan's
Well if the woman he was with had complained, then ya that would have been the case. Instead, the table next to them decided they needed to get involved. Mostly, because BGSU did not recruit either of that tables’ kids. Thus, the 3am, probably drunk, threat of TMZ video to BGSU. All followed by a Tiller family celebration on Twitter after he was dismissed. The Tillers weren’t victims of anything other than being cellphone video rats.
Re: Chris Jan's
Let’s get back to BGSU. John Wagner just wrote an article trying to justify playing Lourdes High School. You can’t beat the #6 team in the nation playing in that no name tournament BG played in. Thankfully Lourdes is there to inflate coaches records, and help them justify salaries schools can’t afford.

Re: Chris Jan's
If it came out tomorrow that the woman who’s butt Jans grabbed had an issue with it, then that would be sexual harassment and I would totally change my tune. Had she filed a complaint against him with the police, we would have heard about it. Had she filed a complaint about it with his employer, we would have heard about it. Had she had a problem with it we would have seen that on that sneaky “Gotcha” video the Tillers took, but there was no reaction by the female. We heard or saw nothing. So, all we know, until that lady states otherwise, is that it was innocent flirting, which millions of guys and girls around the world do with each other. Except it was caught on video, done by a married man. So, we all jump to the “serves him right” and “he deserved to be fired” conclusion.fredthefalcon wrote:Probably not the most sensitive comment in regards to today's environment. So now, Jans will take his next team to the NCAA Tourney before we even get a whiff of one, just like I posted on this site when Jans was fired. And we will continue to play the Lourdes, USC Upstates, and Lake Erie’s of college basketball as we hover around the .500 mark and win a MAC Tournament game here and there for the next 5 years. Meanwhile Jans will be the head coach of a big-time program within 5 years. If we want a good way to continue to piss away the Frack money, lets continue to play in the Creek Classic Tournament for the next several years. At least we can continue to pad Hugers record to make it seem like a good hire, replacing that despicable human being Jans!!

Tell that to Billy Bush who lost his job and basically is still a media pariah for chuckling in agreement with some other guy on an audio tape let alone a video one.CrazyFan wrote:So, all we know, until that lady states otherwise, is that it was innocent flirting, which millions of guys and girls around the world do with each other. The head coach for the basketball team was drunk at a bar grabbing people in public. That's all you had to know.CrazyFan wrote:If it came out tomorrow that the woman who’s butt Jans grabbed had an issue with it, then that would be sexual harassment and I would totally change my tune. Bingo. It is certainly interesting to imagine what could have been. But the university absolutely made the right call.Globetrotter wrote:The head coach for the basketball team was drunk at a bar grabbing people in public. That's all you had to know.
Re: Chris Jan's
Ok Crazy.... Some what college did the Tiller kid end up playing for? And if you like Jans so much go follow NMSU. Trade the BG for NM.

Re: Chris Jan's
Jan's behavior was unacceptable then and now. He paid a price and is ' square with the house'. As they say. He's a great coach and hopefully straightened out his issues. He will have NMSU in the tourney before Within the next 3 - 15 months.
