Wiggins has played tough the last 3 games. Guards are now the problem.

over those ten games he is 11-46 from 3.Globetrotter wrote:Not trying to get on you. Just frustrated by the squad.mbenecke wrote:Good point. I meant what SHOULD BE our game: getting the ball inside to Wiggins and letting Turner be our main shooter. Frye is trustworthy driving, but his shot is too inconsistent for me to feel too confident in it anymore. Caldwell's offense has essentially disappeared. And I want Lillard out there instead of Koch. His defense will help keep us in this one.Globetrotter wrote:Forcing bad shots is our game. That's what we do. Our shot selection is atrocious. It's frustrating to watch. Akron is not at all a good team. Yet we're on the verge of being blown out by them.
We're forcing bad shots and not playing our game.
Caldwell has become a nonfactor. Including this game he is 16-73 over the last 10 games. Thats 21% from the field. I am confident I could do that
31 assists over those 10 games. 14 turnovers.

Agreed. I've loved the toughness I have seen from Wiggins since the Eastern game. It's frustrating that our team has basically flip-flopped and our guards are our weakness now. I just want them to put it all together.Globetrotter wrote:Wiggins has played tough the last 3 games. Guards are now the problem.

Akron consistently attacks the basket on us because our defense is a step slow nearly every play.

Not sure what happened with Sayles very awkward fall from very high up. Could be neck/back or a leg injury.
Re: BG /Akron
Under 4, Akron is up 70-66. Turner to the line for 2 after the break.

Wow. Akron called for a charge, then overturned because Dylan Frye was in the restricted area.
The only problem? It was clear that he was not.

So instead of us getting the ball back down just 2, they got an and-one and went up 5.mbenecke wrote:Wow. Akron called for a charge, then overturned because Dylan Frye was in the restricted area.

Refs were pretty bad in this one, but it shouldn't have ever been close. We have 8 assists. What is the offense even trying to do?
