Here is a full game video of Caleb Fields
#3 normally? Looks like he wears 21 in the first game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=773qdan_FnY" target="_blank
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFzPeHo55QE" target="_blank

He has a brother who plays as well. Hes number 23. Looks like a track athlete who won state in the 100
Caleb looks like a very fluid athlete. Nice handles. Team leader who plays the point for them but doesn't have. Can get the ball on the floor and attack the basket, shoot and has the length to play great D. Very solid Combo Guard for us.

While I would take anyone with the 13th scholarship. My hopes are 1. Good Doesn't have it and 2. It's either a big or a wing. We seem ideally set at the 1 and 2 for the first time that I can ever remember.

Our offers that seem to be still out there are all wings.
1. Maurice Murray 6'6 Erial NJ, Timber Creek (Offer 7-18-2017) 2*
Other offers: None

Offers from Toledo and Kent. Seems like a Plowden-Turner type.

Just a note for super future recruiting. So at Maumee Valley Zeb Jackson is a former BG RBs son and good at hoops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEvE887 ... e=youtu.be" target="_blank

Reported by the Godfather of this very site's research, Zebs father is good friends with Coach Huger.........

Saw this kid play vs. Garfield Hts last week. He had Shaker pretty much in control until getting injured. Not sure what happened other than wound up flat on his back. Tried to come back in but asked out in a few minutes. But he IS a player who got a very big write up in the CLE PD recently. Would be nice to get back into the Cleveland area as Toledo is recruiting here hard, with one Garfield kid verballed and one just transferred in from Missouri.

This also brings to mind the question. How do you recruit when your roster is pretty good and young? If you are a recruit it might look like you won't play now but also might not play for 2-3 years in some instances (ignoring unplanned attrition) We had 2 Freshman look outstanding in the first 2 games. I am sure its done somehow (team culture, unplanned attrition) etc. I just am so used to having teams recruiting so devoid of talent that people can come in and contribute immediately. With Uju and Wiggins Srs a big makes a ton of sense. (More thoughts below)

2018-2019 2 scholarships available
1 Caldwell, Jr-Cummings, So-Fields, FR
2 Frye, Jr- Lillard, Sr
3Turner, So(R)-Kulackovskis, Fr
4 Koch, So-Plowden, So-Uju, Sr(R)
5 Wiggins, Sr-Gadson, So

If we have depth I would love to offer Ross Ryan. Big who can run and now from a school that is rich with talent.

Some updates
Ryan hasn't played much this year after a transfer to Pickerington North. Maybe a late signee or preferred walk-on at this point. I still really like his tape. And you can't teach 6-9. https://www.hudl.com/profile/5006762/Ross-Ryan" target="_blank

Also interesting is
Julian Malone (6'2 CG / Westerville North / 2018):

It's interesting, as I watch this team play. Going into the year I was fine with our guards and wasn't really interested in adding another guard to Frye/Caldwell/Cummings since they were all younger players, but now I'm not so sure. Our lack of size at the guard spot is a noticeable issue defensively, so I'd be quite open to adding another guy that's 6'2+

Living here in Columbus, it is apparent that the ever-growing Ohio Capital Conference is gaining every year in the number of D-1 players it is producing in all sports, but particularly in football and basketball. Communities like Pickerington have gotten appreciably better because their community hasn't continued to split up the schools. All of that expanding has hurt the creation of powerhouse programs to this point, but most of the suburban schools seem to be done (with the exception of Olentangy, which will open its fourth high school soon). I would like to see both the football and basketball coaches at BG successfully recruiting more of the players in this region.

Suddenly we have 4 scholarships available?

Who knows what's to happen

Good thing is we have yet to lose what I would deem a starter for next year. Bad thing is we don't seem to have the ability to fill out a roster.

2018-2019 4 scholarships available
1 Frye, Jr
2 Turner, So(R)-Fields, Fr
3 Lillard, Sr-Plowden, So
4 Kulackovskis, Fr(R)-Uju, Sr(R)

We have 4 offers out but all are pretty old. I really don't expect any of the 4 to sign.

With 4 spots I am going to start firing lots of names off. None which will probably hit.

Not sure I believe he is 6'7, Has a strange game. Looks like he could be a banger but has some athleticism.
