On the road in Dekalb

Post by gmartin »

BG has a road game in Dekalb tonight at 8. Hopefully Huger learned from his coaching mistakes Saturday.

Stay out of foul trouble and I predict a BG win 79-72. Get into early foul trouble and we lose in a one possession game.

Hopefully they'll bounce back and get the win tonight. Long stretch of road games here, which probably works out since we've been playing better on the road than home lately.

Like the 8 tip for road games to watch after dinner.

Under 16, we're down 9-8 but Rod is going to the line for 2 out of the break.

Koch took 2:22 to get 2 fouls. Gonna be a long first half that we need to replace him. Uju and Plowden need to step up big.

Under 8, BG is down 25-19. Having a hard time finding the bottom of the net.

Under 4, BG is down 31-23. I don't know what it is, but this feels like a blah effort. We aren't playing particularly bad, we just don't look very good, either.

23 of NIU 31 pts are in the paint. So we are not playing good team defense.

Halftime: NIU 35, BG 28.

Gotta take better care of the ball and find our stroke in the second half if we want a shot at the W tonight.

And force NIU to take outside shots.

Yep. Tough to outscore a team that gets easy shots within 5 feet of the rim.

Other than some solid play by Wiggins I'd say that was a craptastic half. With the MAC's leading scorer barely seeing the court...

Turner is having a tough night. He just missed 2 straight free throws.
