How bad does it have to get with the women's team before the AD finally says the university can't afford to keep looking this bad? Ugh.
Well I wanted her gone at halftime but she is still on the sidelines. One bright spot is Kennedy Williams

The ESPN3 announcers said that Roos was sending the starters a message by starting the 2nd half with the subs. Who’s going to send Roos a message? A grossly pathetic performance. All of our post players have butterfingers, which is why terrible things happen when we try to go inside. Our guards can’t pass and our bigs can’t catch! Not a good combination! Williams and Parker looked pretty good, but it was against BSU’s bench players. Terrible night of throwing up bricks and turning the ball over! A good high school JV team would have beaten us tonight! Roos just needs to own the situation and admit that her and her staff are NOT doing their jobs as coaches. We are doing a repeat of the previous three seasons! FUNDAMENTALS, FUNDAMENTALS, FUNDAMENTALS! Jennifer Roos, it’s not hard! Your job is to make these players better, and you’ve failed miserably! I’m not trying to be mean or insulting, but I told the truth, and there’s still time to turn this ship around, but you’re not going to do it by continuously repeating the same failures. Time for a change!

After watching this train wreck for the last 4 years something has to be done by the school /AD. Our offense is so predictable and easy to guard high ball screen and everyone stands and watches. No driving lanes and the ball never moves . We dribble out the shot clock and force horrible shots up at end of clock. We are easy to guard and let defense rest on defense . Coach gives up on games to easily and starts subbing way to early. Let these girls get in some kind of rhythm. Heck tonight our center makes two trips up and down the court and then gets subbed out . Frustrated BG fan we are better than this. The players are not being taught the skills needed to be an elite team. This is just not on coach Roos her assistants are much at fault as well. Nobody shined tonight the players or the coaching staff. Honestly believe we do have talent but see these kids turning the wrong way after a descent start to the season.

Hate to say it...but if you're "sending messages" in Jan. and pulling starters 2 minutes in...your team is probably not with you any more

QUOTING COACH ROOS
"Ball State was red hot and we were the complete polar opposite. I don't believe we'll play like this again, but unfortunately we did play like this tonight."

I'm pretty sure you will play like this again. Maybe 1 may win for the season, possibly 2. Maybe Coach Roos should spend more time coaching than complaining to the refs about 3 second call. One funny thing from last night is BG was down by 39 pts. One of our players got fouled and the clock ran for an additional 5 seconds. She noticed that, had the refs stop the game to adjust the clock. Really Coach Roos? Your team is down by 39 points and you are worrying about 3 second violations and the clock running an extra 5 seconds.

Understandable Flipper but she was complaining more to the refs than teaching and coaching her team. Reminds me about a part in the movie Glory Road when the coach went to sit on the other teams bench. He said he wanted to see if the view was better over here. I'll see how the players react on Saturday but after watching the Ohio game at the Stroh and watching all other games on ESPN3 to me it appears the girls have stopped playing for her, I can name 4 right away that appear to just go through the motions and that's really sad because I do think we have talented players.

I agree Cecil Puk Santoro and Lambert look beat down. Heck even Thompson. I am beginning to wonder if AD has a backbone.

I believe that if this team can even hope to compete, they need to be aggresssive, attack, and do so with resolve. We need to do so with an “in your face” attitude. Right now, we couldn’t be farther from that type of mindset. We continue to allow the opposition to impose their will on us, and completely control everything we do on both ends of the floor. Bottom line is that we have become submissive as opposed to aggressive. We don’t try to win, but we try not to lose. That is not the way to be successful! It’s a coaches job to prepare their team fundamentally and mentally. This staff is doing neither!

I wasn't naming names but BINGO, you got the 4. And each of those 4 are talented, maybe not every game but they appear to have given up. Add to the fact that we don't get any production out of our post players I see maybe 1 or 2 more wins.

Roos has started, relatively, the same players in all games so far. We have watched BG average 9 wins per season for the last 3. I have watched Lambert play at point guard for 2 1/2 seasons. If she's not the worst point guard in the MAC, I'm puzzled as to who it might be. She can't attack the basket, she dribbles from side to side, and if her shot is not on, then she has no offense

The starters have hit a wall. In Muncie, they were 3/22. 13.6% Rion also had a 0h-fer game. If it were my choice, I'd rather see a freshmen point guard, Santoro, Cecil, and Perry as the starting lineup and fill in whoever you want as a 5th player. I would keep Lambert off the floor unless she demonstrated the ability to make shots, but not as a point guard.

Oh well, I'm ready to blow this season off. I hope our next coach plays motion, instead of ball screen offense. I hope he can recruit a point guard that is quick and aggressive. I hope the post players can make a 2' layup.

Moose isn't going to out a coach publicly. People see the results and know what's going on. Roos knows she's all but gone. The situation will remedy itself when her contract expires.

Sage advice, and not just with respect to the women's basketball team. I don't think we are anywhere near this point yet with other major sports. But just because Moose isn't out there getting quoted about this kind of thing doesn't mean he isn't paying attention. Of course he is.
