A win is a win, but this was not a pretty one. We were out rebounded yet again, this time 31-22. Defensive rebounds were close (only 2 apart) but Miami had 11 offensive rebounds and BG only had 4!! Miami got 7 second chance points and BG only had 3. Definantly something for practice. All that aside, lets beat the horses!!!

I still am excited about this game! Two 1 point wins in as many days is almost too much for me! It's weird to say our only lead was the final score but 'a win is a win' and I'm fine with it! This is just for Flipper...Sworden was not at the game if you were curious as to why there were no after game injuries

especially when its not true! vandermeer's FT put us up 1 with 1:15 to play.McMetz811 wrote: It's weird to say our only lead was the final score but 'a win is a win' and I'm fine with it!

Stats I saw showed us with only three offensive rebonds. One that I remember was Vandermeer tipping out a missed FT late in the game. I noticed all game we weren't getting any second chances on the offensive end. I think it has a lot to do with our motion offense which has guys moving around, but away from the basket. We don't usually run a traditional low post offense with big guys just hanging around down low. Therefore, few offensive rebounds, especially against a great defensive team like Miami. Finally in 04 wrote:but Miami had 11 offensive rebounds and BG only had 4!! I notice that alot with our teams, and maybe its just because I pay closer attention to BG than alot of other games, but as soon as a shot goes up, the paint clears out, and we've got guys getting back on defense. Not that its a BAD thing to get back on defense, but they seem to bail awfully quick and don't follow many shots.
Oh well, one (or four according to the box) offensive rebound was enough today!!!

That was a sour loss for me--I've now been to Anderson twice (2003 and today) and witnessed two Miami losses--but congratulations to you all. I'd never have imagined that if the game came down to Danny Horace having to make free throws, we'd lose, but I suppose that's why they actually play them instead of just imagining them.
Good luck to the Falcons for the rest of the season! (Unless we meet again, of course.
