It's not covered by anything in the NCAA guidelines and rules. If you look at most of the Penn St. sanctions, most have been rescinded and Paterno's victories restored. They made a mistake sticking their noses in that, and would make the same mistake to do it again. This needs to be a legal issue, and if you are raped, don't go to the school, go to the police. Big time coaches have little incentive to punish players. Their jobs and money depend on winning.

If you are a college student, I agree. But at MSU these were, in many cases, children going to people they trusted who ultimately failed them.

By law if you hear about sexual assault you report it to title ix who is supposed to investigate it and make sure it goes through the legal process.

I can't fathom the decision making that would put their wins and money over sexual abuse/assault. The incentive should be simple, stopping this from happening.
