The league hasn't had a chance to review yet. The high stick to Johnson's throat should be looked at, as well as the skirmish at the end. The Tech player who went after McClain should definitely sit tomorrow.

Connor Ford's postgame interview was the best player interview I've ever seen. He seemed very comfortable in front of the camera and engaged in a real dialog with the media representatives.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

Final score was 7-2, Falcons. Attendance was 3,086.

It was downright shameful the way the game ended last night. It was completely instigated by their guy. On ice level, you could see in his eyes that he wanted to kill Mitch and he didn't care at all about the consequences. For Spezia to miss tonight would have been sickening, as all he did was stick up for himself and his teammate. When he got his helmet ripped off, there was only so much he could even do.

Proud of the effort last night. Now time to finish the job tonight. Gotta keep grinding. I have a feeling there will be a lot of whistles tonight. Go Falcons!

The extra curricular started when Johnson took a pretty brutal shot to the head on BG’s last goal that wasn’t called. That’s why McLain was talking to official after that play. When nothing was called McLain said something to the MTU bench that got them hot and that’s when things escalated.

It’s good to have a rivalry again.

Tech coach is a jerk. Just listened to his post game interview with their radio network. He didn't credit BG once except saying their team needs to play at the same level as MSU and BG. He said all the BG goals were soft easy goals. He also said he had no issue with the squirmish at the end of the game and he said his players had every right to act that way after being down 7-2. Way to teach your players coach. So in life if your having a bad day it's ok to attack for no reason. Good to know. What a punk.

McLain was the one whom instigated it. He was correct by going to the official and he should have let it end there but I could see he was talking smack to the bench. Tech acted accordingly but the coach was 100% supportive. He should have stepped in and stopped it before it got worse and for that he wins my DB award of the day.

20 (Smith) started with a hard slash, followed by a hard cross check to McClain during the faceoff. He didn't even try for the puck, went straight for the wrist. He then started shadowing McClain, trying for another cross check. After the whistle, McClain gave him a light tap on the ass with his stick as McClain was headed towards the bench. That's when 20 (Smith) went after McClain in the neutral zone. 6 (Watson) was the one who hit Johnson high, and then caught him in the throat with his stick on the follow through. He was also the one who hit Spezia with the butt end of his stick to the shoulder while Spezia was chasing after 20 (Smith) and McClain.

The irony of the whole thing is Tech fans wanted a Ferris player suspended because of a hit last weekend.

I would say Watson's high hit/high stick and the referees failure to call anything (he had the puck at the time) is what instigated it. Refs aren't innocent in all of it. Told you not to give them a challenge.

How many of you remember BG favorite ref Matt Shegos. I wonder what he is up to these days.
