I don't doubt this in the least. It's sad that local business/property owners cannot find a way to work together. It shouldn't be THAT difficult. If Pizza Pub wants to lease those parking spaces, but NOT pay for snow removal, then the lease price should go up accordingly. If they ARE willing to foot the bill for snow removal, etc, then they should get a lower lease deal.

Either way EVERYBODY wins. Right now Pizza Pub is losing out by not having their own parking (although I really don't see the big deal at all about the city lot out back, I just think some people don't know about it). And the owner of the old Shed building is missing a revenue stream; they're bringing in $0 from that place right now.

Personally, I've often thought that would be a good location for a small BBQ joint/bar, but the building might just be cursed looking at its history.

What I gathered from it, Pizza Pub didn't want to pay anything at all. But, there's three sides to every business negotiation, and each side thinks they're taking a screwing. One thing this does is set up the blame game if/when Pizza Pub fails. It's sad, but a lot of businesses play it.

The money in the pizza business (IF there is any) comes from delivery anyways. I have a friend that owns 4 pizza places. Only one of which has a dine in option. Dine in is rarely busy, but the delivery drivers are going constantly.

I stopped in yesterday before the Kent St. game. What a great game!

I was and am super relieved that if there isn't Myles anymore, that things are still pretty darn close to it with pizza pub 516. Service was good, and the pizza is still my favorite. I'll definitely keep going when I make trips to town.

I found a place that makes a pretty close facsimile to Myles pizza. The same dense crust, good thick sauce... The only problem is they don't bake it long enough to caramelize the cheese.

Unfortunately for most of you, it's Stuc's Pizza in Appleton, WI.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

I'll admit this pizza is pretty much the same thing. There's a small difference, but not much. It's still a great pizza. Personally though always been a Pagliai's Pizza guy. The buffet is fire, and Campus Polleyes has the best thing in town

I haven't been to Pizza Pub 516 in a few years. There just isn't any reason to drive down there. I've never once (even when it was good) gotten anything that I would call reasonably close to "pretty much the same thing". I'd be far more likely to drive to SC for the actual real thing than drive the 20mins to BG for the imposter.

Now, the good news: HalfTime pizza in Sylvania almost IS pretty much the same thing. His sauce is different, but actually I think a little spicier than Chip's. IT's EXCELLENT. He also is new enough to the game that he experiments with things that Chip had settled in on his ways and never budged. HalfTime roasts chicken in house for the chicken pizzas (and it's excellent), dabbles with various homemade breads and sandwiches (also excellent). The owner/operator is Chip's ex-Son-in-Law and was a manager/long time employee of Chip's at the original.

I've had several frozen Myle's pies from SC brought back to me (not yet visited in person), and HalfTime is very much on par with these. I hope the folks at Pizza Pub are doing well, but I doubt I'll ever eat it again, it just wasn't the same.

Always been a Myle's guy, but I'm also a big fan of Pagliai's pizza. I'm in the minority but I prefer their pizza over the Campus breadsticks...That $25 breadstick + pizza combo is nice though.
