And as I mentioned in an earlier thread, BG can also move up after a win on Tuesday night. Beating WMU would move Bowling Green to the number 5 seed. A win as well as a Miami loss and BG would be the number 4 seed.

Even though BG lost the Buffalo last night things couldn't have gone any better today. Both Miami and Western Michigan lost today. BG is now in a four-way tie for fourth place. BG, Kent State, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan are all tied with 7-7 record. BG hold the tiebreaker over all those teams. BG is currently 4-0 against those teams combined. So if the Mac tournament would start today Bowling Green would have a first-round bye. We need to go 3-1 over our last 4 games to finish as the #4 seed. #3 seed is out of reach, Ball State will be #3 seed. BG could fall down to #8 if it were to finish 1-3.

BG currently holds down the #7 seed after losing to Akron. Another loss on Saturday against Kent and we drop to #8. BG probably will need another win to secure the 8th seed.

And I was correct. As of today BG is the number 7 seed. They would open with the number 10 seed. And who was that number 10 seed. Currently, Akron. The one team we do not want to see. With two Road games and a home game against Buffalo I do not see us holding on to the number 7 seed. More than likely will drop down to number eight.
It is unlikely but if BG would happen to lose its remaining three games and Akron would happen to win two of its final three, Akron would get the number 8 seed and BG would drop to number 9 and have to go on the road. Highly unlikely but still possible.
