I am glad the game was broadcasted since Fox dropped the ball. But the one announcer doesn't have a clue...keeps calling the Anderson Animals the Anderson Crazies. The broadcast he yells and you can't make out what's going on. Hey can't complain too much at least they didn't pack up and leave.

The two doing the game today actually did a better job than alot of student broadcasts (all sports) I've heard recently. Though I only listened to a bit of the game, they seemed on top of the calls (something was either wrong with their radio feed or the streaming, it seemed garbled on my end), and they didn't run that annoying "outtakes" promo. Hopefully that thing found the bottom end of File 13!
The halftime hosts were pretty rough, but I understand that's where alot of "new guys" are getting their feet wet. One critique I did have (aside from extraneous yelling
) was with a minute left in the half, the play by play announcer broke out the "well, BG is 20-0 (?) when scoring more than 70 points, it looks like that might be jeopardized today". Why does that stat come into effect in the first half of a 28-18 game? But over all, good job!

I thought the same thing at the 20-0 stat! But bear in mind they took all of their stats cards and had to use them during the 75 minute delay, so all-in-all I'd say they did fairly well. I got out of work early and made it to AA for the last 12 minutes play time, so I got to see the good part.TG1996 wrote:The two doing the game today actually did a better job than alot of student broadcasts (all sports) I've heard recently. guys i recorded the whole game to my iPod and I can tell you one thing, the announcers don't scream all the time. Now I think we can all agree that with maybe let's say 10 minutes left in the game and it's close I can allow some screaming, but if it's just the beginning of the 2nd half then yeah it would get a little annoying. Also if you're listening to it on the web the station hasn't sounded as clear so that may be a contributor to the noise.

I'd say that national level broadcasters ought to do so. But BGSU Falcon fans tuning into the BG radio network want to hear the game from a BG point of view.BGDrew wrote:They're just saying it's really unprofessional to be yelling. Broadcasters should try to remain as objective as possible.
Same with the pros...who wants to hear a national voice from Westwood One do Cavs games when we've got Joe Tait out there?
