Football Players Spring Break Fight

Post by mbenecke »

There is a video going around of a few yet to be identified football players getting into a fight in Miami this past week over spring break.

I don't know the full story, but I saw that one witness said that the guys were standing up for a girl and fighting a guy that had just hit her, but that is yet to be confirmed.

The investigation into the situation is ongoing. From what I could tell, and this is only speculation, the players looked like Matt Wilcox, Matthew Domer, and transfer Roland Walder. There could have been others involved, as well.

I'll update if I find anything else out. This is an ugly situation.

Ugh. This is late Brandon era style shenanigans. Not needed. At all. Even if they were standing up for a girl, they put themselves in a potentially compromising situation. Let's hope this isn't as ugly as it could be.

Having password problems. ( don't even know WHY IM having to do one again). This is being posted using a "temp. PW", but I don't want this as it's too complicated. I tried to get on the board index pg. to re-create one, but couldn't get on.
I know this has NOTHING to do w/ thread, but figured one of you guys could help me get it fixed.

If in fact they were protecting a girl that had just been hit, I applaud them for stepping in and not just turning away from it. We need more men to stand up against violence against women.

With that said, I will wait to see what the facts of this incident are.

Not sure how you could tell which players were involved based on Some pretty grainy, and unclear video. This said it's a black mark on BGSU in general, football team in particular.
As a former HS coach, along with a son currently still coaching, and still facing similar problems dealing with young men/ athletes, these incidents occur frequently and are hard to control short of locking kids up each nite.

The only way I could tell was from a post on one of their Instagram accounts that showed them wearing the same clothes matching what could be seen in the video, and they were all in Miami over break. So it felt like a safe, albeit disappointing, assumption.

I saw the video. After hitting the guy to the ground, the hits kept coming. Stepping in to protect someone is one thing. You get between the attacker and the victim and at worst knock him down. But then they kept hitting. Hitting a guy already on the ground. It was ugly.

Facts need to come out. If you can stomach it, watch the video. I'm not sure I can stomach it again.

The full version of the video can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BgIAoKAjcv4 ... ad_wildboy" target="_blank

It has been confirmed to me by someone inside of the program that it was indeed Wilcox, Domer, and Walder. The Instagram post of the 3 of them in Miami has since been deleted, so I think those within the program are aware of this and are acting swiftly to take care of this issue.

I’ve had to reset my password a few times. Sometimes it takes my new password but sometimes didn’t take it.

We see incidents like this now ...before everyone had a camera in their hands guys would get in fights all the time. As long as no one went to the hospital or jail...who really cares?

Flip Flop Flipper is at it again. Before everyone had cameras, guys did inappropriate stuff in bars all the time. Since no charges were filed or nobody went to jail, who really cares right? Oh wait, you wanted moral high ground on Jans.

Ok Flip Flop is back to everyone must be aware of cameras, and actions caught on the camera is to the responsibility of the person taped . So we should care now.
