Lot of pressure for the teams picking in the top 5 of the NBA draft this year. You got Deandre Ayton, Michael Porter, Marvin Bagley, Jr., Luka Doncic, Mohamed Bamba, Jaren Jackson, Jr., Trae Young and Demajeo Wiggins. Tough choices.

Did we ever find out why he was not in at the end of the tournament game?

While I get the idea that he wants to have NBA evaluators look at him I also think it's very unlikely that he gets good news. His game won't translate to the NBA beyond maybe a 5-15 big man minute backup role. Every team in the NCAA has a guy who can do that. He;s not overly athletic and was benched in the last game he played for us. I think he is a very good MAC big man and will have a long career in Europe doing just that. What I don't know is what he hopes to hear. I assume they will tell him to work on his strength, aggressiveness, outside shot and athleticism. I really don't see that happening any more on another team in the country than BGSU. Most of that is on him. Hit the gym over the summer, aggressiveness is a mindset and athleticism is tough to grow but work on drills that might help his quickness. That can and should all happen at BG. I hope that he doesn't have some delusions of NBA stardom. He is what he is. A very good MAC big man who will have a long European career if he wants it. If he works hard he can be the best MAC big men and get into an NBA camp. NBA is all about athleticism and outside shooting now. People with his game don't really have a place. The best ones at what he does sometimes don't even play in the playoffs because of matchup issues. He could go down as the 3rd best rebounder in BG history and an 1000 point scorer. To me that's where his mark is.

No less than two weeks later. One an actual prospect, the other not a prospect at all. A cheerleader for the BGSU player, critical of the Michigan player.

What's next? John Wagner wishes BGSU athletes a Happy Birthday on Twitter?

Lets say DeMajeo goes and gets evaluated and they say. "You need to extend your game away from the basket." But in our system that's not his role. So what happens then?

Hopefully that means he works hard this summer to develop a few moves away from the basket. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

I don't think he would transfer. He isn't graduated, and it's clear he is itching to go to the next level, so transferring somewhere to sit out a year doesn't seem like an option. I guess he could leave to play pro ball overseas, but I think he is better served sticking around for another year here and getting his degree.

As he should. It just makes sense to test out all of your options.
