Sentinel-Tribune sold

Post by Schadenfreude »

After four generations of family ownership, the Sentinel-Tribune has been sold to a closely-held company that also owns the Lima News.

If this leads to more coverage of BG sports in the Lima News, I suppose that could turn into a positive. Unfortunately, when companies
buy family-owned newspapers like this, they often end up cutting costs -- meaning staff and coverage of news that matters.

I guess we will see.

Have you read the Sentinel lately? If they cut much more out of it, it'll be a flyer instead of a newspaper. There's barely enough paper there to swat a fly.

I don't read it as much as I used to, not since this nonsense.
