I'm surprised the league hasn't come up with another solution here. Could teams spend 10 days in Alaska and get four games in: Two in Anchorage and two in Fairbanks? That's a long way to be away from class, of course, so maybe that doesn't work, either. .

I guess this would be in Plymouth, Mich., right?pdt1081 wrote:A game at the Under 18 team is interesting.
Perhaps it could help with recruiting.

We played them last year at BG. Michigan and a few other schools played them at Plymouth last year.
Re: 2018-2019 Schedule
I figured that since BG has switched to the J-term with no classes for the majority of students in January, they would have done exactly this during that month. Seems like a missed opportunity, sending them there two different times.Schadenfreude wrote:Wow.bgbill wrote:Two trips to AK... tiring (and $$$).

I think other teams have played both in one trip: something like Sat-Sun and Thu-Fri.Schadenfreude wrote:Wow.bgbill wrote:Two trips to AK... tiring (and $$$).

Re: 2018-2019 Schedule
How are schedules made? I know there are pairs of "rivalry partners" (four games every season, with UAH in our case) and a rotation related to being unable to play every team four times in a season. Does the league come up with a draft schedule (league games only, of course) and then let the teams move games around?

I came across this on the USCHO board: http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?1 ... ost6667435" target="_blankBG84 wrote:How are schedules made? ...
