Baseball wins!!!

Post by factman »

Bowling Green beat Murray State today to go 2-1 for the weekend. Adam Gumpf started and got the win, with Andy Hudak hitting 2 HR's. I believe Lawson and Reimold also each had a HR.

Great win today! It's always great to win a weekend series. I'm happy we came back strong and got the series win (two games to one) after falling in the opener.

I'm the baseball SID at Virginia. We had an outstanding season last year (in 2004) where we were in the Top-25 and hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time in school history. I'm not much of a MLB fan, but I love college baseball. Being in the ACC, I've seen some outstanding talent and have been to some great college baseball stadiums in the last five years......but I still follow my Falcons just like in football and basketball!

Not a bad way to start the season! I highly doubt if the Dayton game gets played tomorrow...supposed to be some storm dumping 3-6" of the white stuff tonight.

Factman,

When do you fly out? Bring back a whole bunch of w's with ya!

Factman...how about Andrew Foster getting the start in the second game on Sunday? Nice to see Perrysburg and Bowling Green high schools represented and helping get some wins for us.

How many (who) guys from Perrysburg on the team. Graduated from there a while ago, probably don't know them but might know older siblings/parents. [/list]

Adam Gumpf (SOPH) LHPand Burke Badenhop(SR)RHPand Kurt Wells (SOPH) OF are all P'berg graduates.
We leave Friday morning and fly out of Cleveland to Tampa.
Open with Northeastern on Saturday, with the alumni etc event Saturday evening.
Interesting that Foster (BGHS) and Wells (PHS) will probably fight it out for playing time in left field and some DH.

Graduated with Badenhops older brother. My brother would have graduate with him though. thanks for that. I like seeing who is playing at the collegiate level from my hometown.
That Spring break schedule got my hopes up. I saw they were playing EKU, and figured I could make the game, EKU being 30min south, but then realized it was in Florida. Oh well.

And now Wednesday's game has been cancelled too. Sounds like you're all having nice weather up that way.
