Dear School Staff,

This Saturday, March 5 will be the final home basketball game for Bowling Green High School graduate Josh Almanson at BGSU. As you know, Josh has distinguished himself over the 5 years that he has attended and played basketball for BGSU and has represented his hometown community and school with class.

As a part of the Senior night recognition the mayor is supposed to be declaring Saturday as Josh Almanson Day. The university is really working to get a large crowd at the game to recognize Josh. We are making announcements at the high school about the game and encouraging as many people as possible to attend. The Athletic department has provided us with tickets to be sold at the high school for the game at the reduced adult general admission price of $6.00 (normally $9.00). Student general admission prices are still $6.00.

Josh is currently student teaching at Eastwood High School and is on track to graduate this spring. It is obvious the impact that his former teachers and anyone else associated with the Bowling Green Area School District has had on him as he has chosen the education field as a career. We hope that you can get out to the game on Saturday to recognize him and his accomplishments.

ps. John Reimold who is currently a student teacher here at the high school is also being honored this Saturday at Senior Day. John is truly an outstanding person who also has had a tremendous career at BGSU. John is a quality person that has worked extremely hard to be successful and it has paid off. He has had an outstanding career at BGSU and is doing a great job for Jeff Nichols in the classroom. We hope that you can attend the game this Saturday and recognize these fine men.

If we can pull out a victory in Ka'zoo, we should have a heckuva senior night crowd. Its Senior night for starters. Then you also factor in that the game would be for the MAC West Championship, well it shouldn't get any bigger than that.

We saw yesterday how loud Anderson Arena can become as well. They had us at just < 4,000 I believe. Factor in a GOOD deal of Miami fans and you start to realize that 3000+ in Anderson is one heckuva home court advantage

You have to remember that the last day of classes is the 4th and the game won't have too many students in attendence.

Good point...crap!

Stupid students always going on their crazy spring break trips! What's up with these past 2 seasons anyway? When I was in school the spring MAC tourney would be the first weekend of spring break. We would usually watch the BG games, then do whatever we were doing. My senior year we actually went to Panama City Beach by way of Gund Arena (after watching the championship game against KSU).

i'm pretty sure this is another "students forced out of the dorms" week. so yeah, many of us are going on spring break trips, but even those who aren't and live on campus are being forced out anyways.

I have to admit that I watched that game in Panama City. Day in Florida over a day in Ohio wins anyday.

Our trip to PCB was totally off the cuff. I went bowling that Tuesday night, and we were like, we should go to Florida for spring break. So we got online, got reservations for a campground, and decided to go by way of the Gund. After the game we hit the road immediately in the snow. We bought a case of White Castle, and ate sliders all the way down to PCB. If they get cold and you put them on the dashboard in Alabama, they get nice & hot again

That was a great trip, PCB rocks. A lot more fun and a lot cheaper than South Beach was.

Your trip wasn't anything like the movie Harold & Kumar go to White Castle was it? That's a funny movie. What white castle did you go to? I'm always looking for a white castle.

No, it was nothing like that movie, and you're right that movie is absolutely hilarious. We took 71 south, then bypassed C-bus and took 71 down to Cincinnati where I think we took 68? Does that sound right?

Either way the White Castle was just north of Cincinnati, but cannot be too sure exactly where...Mmmmm....White Castle...*DROOL*

In Dayton there is on off I-70 at the Huber Heights exit.

Off I-75 in Middletown, Ohio (exit 36 I believe). It's part of a Marathon Station.

Numerous puppies in Columbus area (HOME OF THE SLIDER!)
- I usually go to the one off I-70 and Rome-Hilliard Rd. on the west side of Columbus after class on Friday nights
