Re: Miami
Facts -
The 2015 MAC Championship game was the last BG football game I’ve seen in person. Last trip to the Doyt was a few weeks earlier when we faced Toledo. I more or less have boycotted the program ever since the 70-point defeat at Memphis early in 2016.
I was one of the biggest Falcon fanatics that you would find anywhere from 2005-2015. I went to every home game and hit a bunch of the road games when possible. I breathed and bled orange and brown. I was proud to be a Falcon. We had our ups and downs before finally reaching the top of the mountain but one thing never changed, I was proud to be a Falcon and support my university every time out.
Now, 2015 seems like a lifetime ago. It’s to the point where it’s actually stunning that I never gave any thought whatsoever into going to today’s game, and didn’t even check the score until now. This is BG vs Miami for Christ sake, one of the 2 biggest games of the entire year. But all I can say is, thank God I no longer care.
Thank you Mike Jinks for destroying my love of BG football so completely that it went from being my number one passion on fall Saturday’s (and November weeknights) to being so much of an afterthought that I don’t even think about it for fear of complete and utter embarrassment in my university. You are a complete and utter failure who has brought humiliation to my beloved Bowling Green. If I were a rich donor or benefactor, you would be gone tomorrow. Get the hell away from my university!!

Two weeks from today. See you in Erie?mbenecke wrote:I guess we're on to hockey season around here, eh?

I'm not sure whether I'll make it out to Erie.
I know for certain that a group of at least 10 of us will be making the trip down to Columbus on that Friday night later in October, though.

Yeah, looking forward to hockey season. I won't bother to watch a minute next week against GA Tech.

I don't see a problem with tackling technique. I see Falcons getting blown off the ball and nowhere near where they need to be to make a good tackle.60yearsofsicsic wrote:It is truly disheartening to see how awful the tackling is...
Other teams are bigger, faster, and stronger. Miami looked like a Big 12 team out there today.

I was for giving Jinks a chance. Unlike most of you I watched the entire game. I have been watching Falcon football since 1977 and this might be the worst I have ever felt about the program.

I watched the whole thing, too. I haven't been this down on the coaching situation since 2000, when Gary Blackney lost to Buffalo. That team seemed hopeless. This one does, too.mcfalcons83 wrote:I was for giving Jinks a chance. Unlike most of you I watched the entire game. I was working sideline camera for the whole game and it was just more of the same. I was hopeful that we might actually win but this team looks out coached. We can’t put two halves together. What are the chances we realistically make a coaching change mid season?

Re: Miami
I don’t know that it would do a lot of good to change coaches in mid season, but come the day after Black Friday, Jinks has to be gone. Has to be. This program will never be anything while he is here. The AD right now has one job, and that’s to hit up the Strohs and Fracks of the world make sure the money is there to make the move. End of subject.

Zero. The closest I think Bowling Green has ever come to this was in 2000. A few days after that loss at Buffalo, Gary Blackney announced he would resign at the end of the season.BG24SportsDirector wrote:What are the chances we realistically make a coaching change mid season?

Re: Miami
Jinks should do BG a huge favor and do to same to save the school some much needed money. Better yet he can return his salary.Schadenfreude wrote:Zero.
