Offensive play calls?

Post by Class of 61 »

Anyone wonder WHAT we are trying to do with Andrew Clair? Perhaps i’m Missing something but it sure as heck seems as if we are effectively bottling up Andrew Clair with inside runs that seem to be the same play.... inside handof
As a result , Clair’s stats have gone from over a hundred yds + vs Oregon to virtually nothing positive in last few games. A couple back ups, notably Rico Frye, have looked better, but also seemed to have more room to run.
Any theories?

The play calling has definitely been offensive...

Coach Jinks has a knack of making the back-ups look better than the starters. Every year, our QB looks like he's okay, but the 2nd stringer looks like he should be the starter. Inevitably, we make the switch towards the end of the season. If you ask me, this makes it artificially look as though he made some much needed changes and there is hope for the next year. I really started questioning that this year when Doege looked so mediocre in the pocket and people were saying the offense was moving so much better with Loy.

Godfrey Lewis up the middle for one yard was better than this.

Backups are playing their backups who are in prevent defenses salting games away is a big part of it.

Not making any excuses, as yesterday was just as awful as any of us had guessed, but I saw that it was reported on Twitter that Clair was battling some type of lower-boy injury. That has nothing to do with the play calls themselves, but it could have an impact on his production.

Those "lower-boy injuries" are never a good thing...
