MAC champions three years ago. Come on now.
That's like winning whatever league Capital, Ohio Dominican and Capital are in. It matters to less people than are currently in Beaver Stadium. And When I say it matters to less people I mean the MAC championship overall, and all the MAC teams.

Wow. The very fact that you can't name whatever league those teams are in yet you know the MAC nullifies your argument.

No post GT interviews online. I checked the Twitter page, main page, and YouTube. Did they not do a post game press conference? Or did they do one and not post it? It is weird.

Jinks did an interview, but the radio team couldn't air it live because they couldn't get a signal from under the stadium. It sounds like they had to record it and then run the recording upstairs to the booth, then play it, which they did.

I wasn't listening closely. I remember Jinks being encouraged by the way we were able to move the ball on Tech, which seemed reasonable. That's not to say that he was encouraged overall; I just wasn't listening that closely.

I'm a good bit closer to where GT is than the rest of you. Where we diverge is that I don;t view what the folks at Beaver Stadium and elsewhere at the top of the P5 as college football. It's a scaled down NFL...kind of a cross between the college football I grew up on in the 70's and 80's and the NFL. We're kind of a cross between what I used to view as college football ( regionally sensible conferences playing nearby rivals at the behest of students, fans and alums and not TV /Cable/internet people). In 1985, the MAC was awesome...in 2001 the MAC was awesome. It isn't awesome now....we can't keep up and it shows. Our conference champs get trucked in bowl games and most OOC matchups.

The MAC and the rest of the people not under the P5 money tree need to find a sensible balance...I see no logical purpose in paying guys like Mike Jinks $500,000 to coach football here...even if he was competent. I don't know why we need a small army of coaches, why are we incurring the travel costs of going down to GT so we can get killed...for a paycheck? So we can continue this pointless cycle?

Enough already....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Well said. We need those big money games to pay the ridiculous salaries of our coaches. I get why Urban is worth 5 million a year at OSU, his success there brings a lot of donor money. That's not the case here.

And the key to this conversation as that it wouldn't bring donor dollars here if he WAS successful. This program had a great run towards the end of clawson and through babers. Still never good enough to justify the expenses spent on coaching, travel, etc.

Interesting... not surprising that Moose didn’t like idea of playing vs triple option. Besides, we have enough problems vs conventional offenses who run football at all.

So tonight P5 Louisville just gave up more points and more rushing yards then we did last Saturday to Ga Tech. Perhaps our defense isn’t so bad?! lol
