Tuck Foledo
Just curious who all is planning to make the trip. I have a feeling our crowd will be sparce. I'll be there. May even have an extra ticket. I keep hoping we've been sandbagging for this game, even though I know that's not really the case. Really hope all the guys step it up about 5 levels for this one.

I'll be there. My wife is a UT grad, so this game is an attendance requirement every year. It's also been a giant pain for the past decade, more or less. I may just put a bag over my head for the entire game.
ROLL ALONG!!!

Is that who we play next? I've checked out..mostly... on this team until a change is made.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Tuck Foledo
I was think of the bag over my head too. My wife is also a UT grad, but I converted her allegiance to BGSU a long time ago. We went to the ut-miami game a few weeks ago, and it was miserable. Their fans are jerks, and we were in neutral clothes. She said she hated it then, she hates it (the Ass Bowl) now, and she's never going back.footballguy51 wrote:I'll be there. Won't be there and won't be watching. I'll stay tuned in on my phone.

Re: Tuck Foledo
Haven't been to the gb since the 2012 game. Don't feel like paying $40 for a ticket, either. Jake's band has a gig Saturday evening and I wanna see them since the last gig got cancelled.
I am going old school Saturday....Todd and Gibby on the Falcon Radio Network drinking beers on the deck. Did that two years ago and we almost pulled the upset.

Re: Tuck Foledo
The game will be on ESPN+. I just "purchased" the free 7-day trial, with the intention of canceling it before my week is up so I don't get charged. That's probably the best way to do it! However, if you want to pay $4.99 per month, BG will be on there 3 total times still this season - Toledo, next week vs. Western Michigan, and at Central Michigan in November.

Jinks sounded seriously pissed off at that press conference. I bet he's feeling heat. Big time.

Gotta be able to take said heat if you want to be a head football coach. I'm glad he's passionate but his words ring hallow with the lack of improvement we've seen on the field.MarkL wrote:Jinks sounded seriously pissed off at that press conference. I bet he's feeling heat. Big time.

Re: Tuck Foledo
I wish we could get a coach in here that would really get fired up about the UT game. Clawson never did. Neither did Babers. Jinks got close, sort of. I just would like to hear our Coach say that "Yes, that school up North is the most important game on our schedule and we're preparing like it is." Not all this, "well, we don't want to put too much on one game" BS. At this point, what do you have to lose by emphasizing this one game. This game is THE game that would get your fan base remotely interested again.
I used to coach travel soccer, and when we played the other team from our club, I emphasized it's importance all week long. We only won two games that year, and that was one of them.
I'm sure they talk about how important this rivalry is at practice. I would just like to see our coach say it publicly. Even when we lost to Toledo in 2015 and Babers was asked who we wanted in the MACC, he didn't come out and say "yeah, we want another shot at TSUN". For once, I wish our coaches would just say it. I want them to embrace the rivalry and act like they want to be here.
