I think unless we get a coach that actually played at BG and experienced the rivalry first hand, it will just be another game on the schedule to them.

Even if Jinks can pull out a miracle win Saturday, it doesn't change my view that he still needs to go...period.

If Guadagni is out Saturday you guys have a decent chance to win. Our backup QB sucks and our O-line is the worst I’ve seen it in 20 years. Throw in a defense that isn’t very good and I seecthis being a shootout.

To be fair if your QB was wheelchair bound and your offensive line comprised of middle schoolers, you would still move the ball just fine. We've had a way of making backup QBs look good in recent years

It's sad this game has devolved into what it is, but BG's inability to hold up their end of the bargain coupled with all-time low morale about the program has made what should be a fun and rowdy week around these parts into what feels like just another week of sloughing through disappointment.

If I was Mike Jinks, I wouldn't be hyping this game, either. The odds of us winning this game are extremely slim. Why make a big deal out of a game we will probably lose?

I've never in my life been more pessimistic heading into a game with Toledo.

Yeah, in no way has UT proven itself "above" the MAC. No more than NIU, Buffalo, Ohio, WMU, etc. over the last 10 years.

NIU can make the claim of being too good for the MAC...maybe. NOt so much based on today...but recent history. Until we can not have our bowl reps get trucked by non P5 schools, it might be more appropriate to say no one is too good for the MAC.

I don’t think anyone is disputing that. They are disputing your take that Toledo is too good for the conference.

Yeah, that would pretty much do it. The ut OL isn't their usual strong self and their running game has been weak...and here comes the worst rush D in the nation. The ut D gives up big chunks and points...a shoot out is probably our best hope.
