I give the AD credit for making the call. I wish Coach Jinks success in his future but no progress had been made.
Let’s hope Coach Huger finally shows progress or both programs should have new head coaches next year.

Not that it was ever wavering, but this gives me even more confidence in Moosbrugger's leadership. He realized we were beyond a tipping point, and he acted. I'm hoping this means some alums of means stepped up and said they'd help.

I don’t like to see this happen to anyone, but this is long overdue. Hopefully the football program can get back on track soon.
Re: Jinks Fired
Should have been done 3 weeks ago. No love for the Athletic Department for waiting this long. We could have still salvaged this season. What do you tell the juniors and seniors?
Did the NCAA implement a new rule that players can transfer and be eligible immediately if a coach leave or fired?

Re: Jinks Fired
Should've been done at the end of the last season. Things were rapidly getting worse and nothing was being done to prevent Jinks from driving the program into the ground. The damage has already been done and it's going to take some time and a lot of hard work to recover from this hire.

No most players have to sit out a year, unless they’re a grad transfer. Also schools will no longer to be able to block where they can transfer.hiway44 wrote:Should have been done 3 weeks ago. Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, teach PE.

And if we magically go say 8-4 next year Jinks will somewhere say I told you I had a top recruiting class.
