That's a pretty good list. Bateman, Elston, & Deboer are of particular interest for me.

I'm playing the powerball and megamillions tonight, so if I'm a billionaire by Thursday BG should have their pick of the litter and a new football stadium by Friday.

A huge portion of Army's defensive success is the offense running the clock chewing triple option. Would Bateman bring the triple option to Bowling Green? That could be fun to watch.

Marcus Freeman
Is the best fit for BGSU. Ties to many of the top coaches Ties in the Big 10 and Ohio. Young and proven winner at all levels and strong recruiting. Get him on the low end knowing he will probably stay only a few years but will build our program back to where we want it to be.

No brainer on this one. The other guys are tired and retreads of the same old philosophy. Get away from Clawson guys. Last I recall its 2018. Cannot re write the old script.

That was one of the talking points a few years ago around here when Jinks was hired. Young, can be here a while, will build the program, etc. I think we need to get somebody who has already proven they can build a program rather than take a risk on the next young up and come. Perhaps Freeman will be great. I just have a sour taste on that direction right now.

How is Marcus Freeman a "proven winner"? He's never been a HC. The guy is a 32 year old coach with 8 years in the profession with one year as a full time DC and one year as a Co DC. After what we've been through here, we need someone with more experience who can rebuild a structure

Yeah, I think Marcus Freeman is definitely a rising star, and probably a solid recruiter due to his experience and the fact he's a personable, young guy (see PJ Fleck), but calling him a proven winner is a stretch, at best. It'd be a high-risk hire.
