Does this move get made now if we don't have the new, early signing date? In the olden days, you fire a guy towards the end of November and you have a replacement a few weeks later. With signing day now moved up for so many kids, you'd really be sticking it to that new coach. You almost have to have a guy in place and ready to recruit by the middle of November

I figured he would go back to high school coaching in Texas at one of the major programs. Then springboard from there back into college. Go back to his roots.

I'm certain he will land on his feet. If he wants to be an assistant somewhere in Division I, he will get an offer. He will be better for this experience.

I know a Texas Tech guy at work. He has a Kingsbury signed helmet at his desk. He said if there is room on Tech's staff next year they would take him in a heartbeat.
