Wow! I can’t recall the last time we were getting verbals two years in advance , possibly in Curt Millers prime years. Verbals are just that for now, just verbals. But it looks like coach Fralick’s recruiting is on line to get this program back to where it was.

It is very common to get a player to verbal early during her junior year be it Coach Miller, Coach Roos, or other coaches.

We also have a third verbal for this class. Her name is Lexi Fleming from Cincinnati. Again these are just verbals. They will become Falcons when they sign early in their senior year.

See what you’re saying... I was thinking these were Sophomores, just thinking the 2020 date threw me a bit.

Was curious about Fleming...so I did a search on her. She's a coach's daughter (always good) and was the only sophomore to be named to the first team of the GCL (Greater Cincinnati League...a very good athletic conference) this past season. Here's a cut & paste from the article:

Lexi Fleming, who is 5 feet 6, is believed to be the first 2020 girls’ basketball player in the Cincinnati area to make a college commitment.

“It’s a great early pickup for Coach (Robyn) Fralick at Bowling Green,” said Bryce McKey, Ohio Girls’ Basketball Report’s Associate Director/Director of Scouting. “Her shooting ability will allow them to stretch the defense and use her in a lot of different ways. She continues to get better every time we see her.”

Fleming averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.0 assists for McAuley last season. She shot 42.2 percent from behind the 3-point line. She had a season-high 23 points and 14 rebounds in a 59-40 win over McNicholas Feb. 5. She also had five steals in that game.

I'm already very excited about the women's team moving forward. I think we're going to be back at the top of the conference, if not this year, next year. I just hope if she is as successful as I'm anticipating, that we are able to keep her around.

About 5-6 weeks ago, there was a video showing this young lady surprising coach Robyn Fralick in the locker room saying, “I’m a BG Falcon” or something similar to that.

That was Olivia Trice out of Wayne High School who did that.

This is great. Macy was a very good basketball player here in Central Ohio for Upper Arlington. They play in one of the best athletic leagues in the entire state, the Ohio Capitol Conference; a league that sends players from all sports into D-1 programs.

"She continues to get better every time we see her.” That is great to hear. I, too, am so excited to see Coach Fralick kick this program back to the top. In the history of MAC Women's Hoops, BGSU is Queen. Yeah, ut, Kent State and others have had their times but BGSU is the best overall of all time. #FalconProud
